22-250 pet load?

The Speer 52 varmint hp is easy to work up loads for. Easy to get very good prairie dog accuracy. Is not my first choice for 300 yard+ shooting out of the 22-250 in hunting situations. The big open tip/flat base pull the ballistics down, more drop/drift. I would look for a 3500-3600 fps start out of 22-250.

35 or 36 grains Varget with the Speer 52 grain Speer flatbase HP puts it at about 3650. Classic fur load and thumper.

What is your best load for 22-250?

35.0/H4895 with Speer 52 grain hollow points. That bullet has a poor BC, but it jellies the insides of groundhogs.
