I also did some testing on those point blank plates (same ones, just not heated up like yours)
It was completely servicable.
I had the same results at 100 yrds,
But then we started using the hunting rounds, and the results were different. The 22-250 vmax went through, as did the 270, 7mm Mag, 308 (168gr silver tip), The worst was the 300 win Mag (total blow out)
Those plates are only designed to handle 7.65x39 and 5.56 not much more.
Interesting, I thought the VMax would expand. I figured it would take FMJ to penetrate.. I did not want to shoot any of my good plates and I figured shooting the one I had already shot with anything larger would not be a fair test after taking the hits from the 5.56 & 7.62..
I had no doubt the 300 win mag would result in catastrophic malfunction...
