Agreed, it's always "soon" with those guys on barrels, prices, uppers, and brass. I jokingly call them the "Someday Sharps Rifle Company".
But the 25x45 is a really solid cartridge that a lot can be done with. I have shot 110gr bullets but its much more at home with 100gr or less bullets. The 90gr Sierra Blitz kings bring the pain and leave bullet wounds very similar to the 85hr Noslers. Most of the 87gr SP bullets all perform well. I actually like the noslers a little better as the group tighter in my 25x45. R10x and Xterminator powders have shown lots of promise with the heavier 100gr bullets.
Whats great about it is the cheap components, no sharper shoulders, no special bolts, or magazines. Most of the 6x45 data can be used to start work ups with. I plan to use the 100gr to hunt hogs later this spring/summer. I am used I a black hole barrel I had made and its been.
