I'm not going to get into the petty arguments y'all are having, but I registered and am posting to let you all know that he is not me, and I don't appreciate the accusation. Anyways, whether you care about it being a 6.8 or .277 bullet vs. a 6.5 or a 6 I don't care, but here's the numbers so far in a recap. Oh and to the guy that was disappointed that we had to do some tweaking here and there while developing a Wildcat has obviously never developed a Wildcat before.
So far we're getting 2690fps with a 90 grain TNT with no pressure signs at all. No cratered or flattened primers, no swipes, no case stretch. We have room to move so we'll cross 2700fps with no problem.
So far we're getting 2500fps with a 110 grain Sierra Pro Hunter, no cratered or flattened primers, no swipes, no case stretch. We have room to move so we should be able to get to 2550fps without issue.
These are out of a 16" Pac-Nor barrel and sub-MOA all day. The powders we are testing are those between typical 6.8SPC and 300BLK powders due to the bore size, case capacity, bullet weight and surface area.
Please remember that unlike the 6.8x45 Kramer, this cartridge uses unmodified 5.56 maps, including Pmags even with it's pointy little front mag rib. The velocities of the Wolverine nip at the heels of the Kramer which nips at the heels of the SPC. Also, this cartridge is now in production and barrels, die sets, WFT's, Ammo Gauges and such are ordered/being ordered. Not full production obviously, as the first batches have been ordered and we're waiting for delivery. However, that's a lot closer than others.
