I hunted Pocahontas County for years before moving up north. I live in north central wv now, so I'm scooping out new places to hunt. Lots of coyotes in Pocahontas though.
Welcome aboard ritepath. Some good predator hunting down your way. Hunted at Crocket's Cove near Wytheville with a bow for deer several times, beautiful country down there.
Rusty you'll be right down the road from me at JMU in Harrisonburg. Most farmers around here are a little skiddish about letting students hunt but me and a buddy have found a few guys that don't mind. Called in a bunch of foxes at one place last year one night but never got any shots. Beautiful hunting land up here though. Good luck.

Hopefully I'll be at JMU soon enough. I am going to blue ridge community right now to get my A.S. in their guaranteed admission program with JMU.
Just got out of the Army in January and figured I would be better working myself back into the school routine before going to a 4 year school. I forgot all my math after being out of high school for 5 years.
It's a pretty good school but you won't find many guys that like the outdoors. Most of them are from Jersey or what they love to call "NOVA". I can't stand when somebody says that, I don't tell them I'm from SOVA southern VA. But the night life is pretty good.
