anyone having luck in Kentucky???

yeah..somewhat...
a lot of old reclaimed surface mine...
most ppl use it for deer hunting..I don't know of any predator hunters myself...Over run with coyote, so much sign it's unreal...just havin trouble gettin them in...

It's Been crappy here to. I haven't been out i'n awhile but looking to get out i'n few days. Got all this snow and all. Might call somethin up. Who knows. It's a dice roll here lol

Ah maybe things will change for the better..hopefully..lol
Im enjoying my little christmas vac. from work...been going as much as possible..

I've never hunted public land before. Are the reclaimed surface mines pretty easy to access? Might be something for me to check into.

yeah pretty easy..
I usually travel by atv though...

Im kind of the exact opposite, I haven't really ever hunted a lot of private land...a lot of the land around here is owned by the coal companies, which have reclaimed the area..

well actually you could walk it by foot, but im sure your boots would almost be worn out by the time you got there..lol..it's actually not that far...a few miles i would say, but it's steep terrain, pretty big mountains ya know...

I'm in Ashland, but I have several farms down that way that I call. I know a Ferguson on Rt. 3, and a Holbrook. Always wanted to call that farm across from Bolts Fork.

Bill and rose ferguson? If so I'm the house across the road. John or tom Holbrook? And i have permission to hunt the farm your talking about. I'm the 2nd house before bolts fork. Give me a shout. I'll get you i'n there.

Know the house. Stopped there about 3 or 4 years ago and talked a lady into letting me shoot a groundhog that was down in the back of the house near the tree line.
