I e-mailed the DNR on their web site and received a reply stating that the only magazine restrictions were for the deer gun season and waterfowl.
It's a Federal law that any magazine capacity over 30 rounds requires a Federal Permit and is considered a machine gun. That same permit covers silencers and full auto actions too.
It used to be stated in the DNR hunting regulations that silencers, full auto actions are not legal for hunting. However, the only place that machine guns are mentioned is in the waterfowl regulation. BUT, that's where the DNR puts in the clause, "these regulations are not all inclusive". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
