Go to "Main Index" above, "Calls and Calling" and "Custom Callmakers Forum" and look around for what might be for sale. Prices are cheap for what you get most of the time, and 99% of the enclosed reed calls are made with JC reeds, which are tunable, usually easily changed out, and dirt cheap!

I would suggest considering an open reed, you can do a lot more sounds on that one call, Much more versital /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Colton did i meet you at the Gem state hunt two year's ago. there's a bunch of great call's on here. all different kind's good luck. Rick

no I dont think i have ever been to the gem state hunt I I have an open reed jonny stewert but I dont really like it and its not that I cant blow it I just like the sound of the sceery better but I was wondering if there where any betters?

I'd suggest contacting some of the custom call builders on this site and listen to their calls. You may find that they produce a sound that exceeds the Sceery call....plus a lifetime warranty. They can even tune the reed while talking to you on the phone to make it sound just right, to your liking. It'll only cost you the price of a phone call. Nothing really to lose.

Hey Colton. PM me with your adress and I will send you a free call. All you will want to do is clean it. Im not poisonous and it has barely been used. Its a Ki KI or Kee Yee or something liket that. I liked it alot but have so many custom calls now I would be happy to help.It can be blown as a cloesd reed or take te top off and its an open read and it makes some awsome sounds.

Colton, Ive got the other call to go with it also. You can have them both. I beleive the other one is called a Lil dog.Randy anderson sure does a great job with these 2 calls on his video.Just waiting on your PM.

In my opinion, the Sceery AP6 and the Cronk Killer Call are about as good as an open reed, all purpose call gets. On the closed reed calls, I think Dan Thompson's are beyond compare, and don't give anywhere near as much trouble quitting on you in extreme cold. Something about the way he mounts the reeds.

Hey guys, I was wondering what might be the best long range call I can get. See I hunt in a very wide and open area with high winds, for example one of the main areas I hunt is about 6 square miles of coulees that slope up to a ridge thats about 3 miles long that I sit up on there and then I can see most of the valley, here the other day I saw a yote about 3/4 of a mile away with about a 10 mph crosswind and I got no response from it, it just continued to hunt away and casually worked its way away from me before I had time to adjust or get its attention, so thats why I want a loud and long range call cause I know there out there I just am not able to reach them.

Now is that just a howler or can it be used as a distress also? Cause Im looking for a jack rabbit or cottontail distress.
