I have 2 rifles with the Claw sling, and they were my best at staying put. My calling shotgun has an Uncle Mikes cordura sling, and even though it has a center "non-slip" strip, it was off my shoulder after the first few steps. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif
Not wanting to buy a Claw for every gun, I tried something. You know that rubberized paint you can get. I found some in a spray can (about 8 bucks), and put a coat on the strap each day, until I had about 6 or 8 heavy applications on the upper-inner part of the sling. At first it just absorbed the paint (I got red; the other choice was white..... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif), and eventually it built up a rubbery finish. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I have hunted 2 days with it now, and NOT ONE TIME has it slipped on my shoulder. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif It stays as good as the Claw, maybe better. I am delighted, and can see a red treatment in the future of several of my slings! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
I used "Plasti Dip Spray-On Heavy Duty Flexible Rubber Coating", by PDI in Minnesota.

I found it in a local hardware store.
