Dont think its that bad, I am not even at the books max. My gunsmith told me with out anealing the cases then I probably wont get more than 3-4 shots out of a 300 RUM unless I load it down, well I didnt buy a 300 RUM to shoot at 300win mag velocity's. Its like buying a swift or 22-250 and loading it down to shoot like a 223, what the point. I have already put almost 200rds of this same load down the tube so whats gonna Happen.
Second I do not reload for speed, I reload just for acuracy, and that is where the gun shoots best.
No.. you are not "bad" country - if you can live with the short case life, then go for it and throw them away when they get tight.
We already have had a thread from a guy that loads his .220 Swift to 3,500 fps - a yucky waste of a cartridge
.
Oh damm, don't bring that back up!
Imho, if you can back it down any, even .2gr and not lose accuracy I'd do it, but if not, just keep good record of your brass and # of firings. That and keep an eye on things!
One thought though, has there been a lot of rounds through this gun?
