I have never used that specific scope, but no, its not worth it. $150, $200, even $250 simply will not buy quality glass, reliable and repeatable tracking, and ruggedness. There are a slew of cheap generic Chinese sourced optics which advertise all the doodads the high dollar scopes, and each month, a different one is the darling of the internet. In short order, they are forgotten for the next big thing.

In the optics world, you truly do get what you pay for, and there are no free lunches. In the lower end of the price spectrum, you have to make sacrifices. There certainly are hidden jewels in the shallow end of the pool, but they don't include scopes with turrets, illumination, fancy reticles, or other doodads.

+1

These cheap azz optic companies rely on uninformed comsumers that are scope shopping. They are looking at say a OK quality 3-9 at $200. Then they run across a 24x for the same jack..... no brainer. right? I'll by me some way more powerful shitz for the same jack. What they really get is some shitz period. End of story. Moral is: buy 3-9 range glass at the $250+ price point. And if you feel a need to have a hubble, then break out the CC because it's going to cost $500+ that to equal glass/build quality. It's real simple really.

Just ordered the Leupold package from Natchezss, we shall see what arrives! $299 for a $350 scope plus Leupold rings, after mulling it over, not sure it can be beat! Will update everyone when it arrive to confirm it indeed is a Mod 1!

Ordered the 3x9, says Mark AR, but the manufacturers code indicates it's actually the Mod 1!

While my preference is a little more magnification, for the money spent, you simply arent going to get a better scope than that 3-9 Mark AR. I have one on my primary calling gun, and I have yet to feel a burning desire for more power. Good glass makes up for magnification in most cases.

If it ends up not being a mod 1, SWFA sells the mod 1 with their version of a Burris PEPR mount and two 30 round PMags for $319.

Thats the Duplex version..the Mildot is 369.95, and the Leupold mount included with the above mentioned deal is a MUCH better piece of gear that the SSALT/PEPR abortion.
