What do you think?

What should I add or subtract on the next batch?

I would opt for a pic of dead coyote[the more the merrier]. Rather than a live one on a card

edit; Also avoid useing the word "control". Implies? you will/[or can] take care of ANY problem coyotes. Easier said than done, eh.

With as much 'white' (trees & dead leaves) as you have in the photo, I would opt for some different colored lettering that will stand out more...It may just be the photo of the card, but to me, it's hard to read the important info (tele #, e-mail, etc)...

I thought of a dead coyote pic and may do that. Maybe use this pic?

Also thought the same about the meaning of the word "Control", but thought of it after the fact.

That's the camera flash washing out the picture. I had to hold the card at an angle just to take a picture that could be seen. It's easily readable in person. But before I had cards "In Hand"......I was worried about that.

IMHO I would just have your contact info/name and maybe a description of your vehicle along with a simple image of a coyote to equate your name with coyote control. That way nothing is implied and the landowner has everything to put your together with the hunting of predators.

Nah, I wouldn't put the dead coyote on there.
Some folks don't like seeing dead critters and that could
be a problem.

I think the card looks pretty good but OldTurtle has a point.
Us with old tired eyes have some problems with colors, light
and dark.

Your business card is great just the way it is, don't change a thing except maybe the lettering if it's as hard to read in person as it is on my monitor. If so go with black outline around the white letters.

Your business card is a mini-billboard announcing you and the services you offer. Yours is great in that you DON'T get bogged down in details. If a potential customer is interested in what you have to offer they'll call or email for details.

I love the live coyote on the card! It shows what people are afraid of, want to get rid of or just don't want around. Keep the yodeling yote!

You might even think about printing them on magnetized material so people can use them to hang stuff on their refrigerators until they need you.

Don't be shy when passing them out. Somebody may not need your services now but you want them to be able to contact you when they do.

Also, you want them to be able to pull your card out of their wallet when talking to some friend and the subject of predator control comes up.

Here are a few things the books on advertising don't tell you because Madison Avenue admen don't get paid for writing business cards.

Business cards are the best-kept advertising secret in business. Business cards are the most effective form of advertising when passed on by one of your customers (word of mouth), cheapest (cost per insertion) and longest lasting (check your wallet) form of advertising for a business.

Not everyone realizes how inexpensive and effective this form of advertising is. I did business card exchanges with several other entrepreneurs on my side of town. I tried to do business card exchanges with two other entrepreneurs whose customer bases dovetailed into mine. You'd think they'd be glad to send customers on to a non-competitor and receive customers in return, but getting them to pony up a few bucks to print cards for their own business is like pulling teeth.

One is always so "low on cards" he "can't let go of any right now." This guy, who never has enough of his own business cards to give out, even to his own customers, had a business card holder full of a big independent insurance agency's business cards right by his register and didn't see the irony.

The other entrepreneur, I'm sure, bought 500 business cards back in 1972 and plans to make them last forever. In her ideal world she'd give out the last card on the day she died.

Sure most business cards get lost or thrown away, but some survive to remind customers of your goods and services or, better yet, get passed on to a customer's friend. Remember word of mouth is the most effective advertising you can get!

That dandelion on your lawn produces lots of seeds. Most of those seeds don't make it, but have you ever had a shortage of dandelions in your lawn? Spread your business cards around like manure (the cost is about the same) and watch your business grow like a weed.

The question you have to ask yourself is: "How many business cards would I have to buy - and throw away - to equal the profit on just one sale?

Pictures of dead coyotes on cards may not be the best thing for people that may give you permission to hunt. They want them gone, but some may not want to see them dead.

The card is fine like it is worded. I agree with DDave on that. The lettering could be a little better though, as far as standing out. Not sure what you should do with it though....

Use the KISS method. It will be fine, and should get you some calls to hunt, and some new hunting land.
Put some in the feed stores & sale barns.

The one thing I noticed is there are a lot of capital letters in your email address. I had my first lawn and landscape cards done and it was all caps to be bold I guess but many ppl tried to contact me by email and they weren't going through due to thinking they needed to capitilize letters in my email. If thats the way it needs to be then the rest of your card looks great.

Here is a better picture, the flash on my camera was what was making it hard to read. It's even easier to read in person than this picture is.

Hey Barry, What prompted me to do this is I just lost the only place I had access to. The problem is that it was a large enough that it was the only place that I needed.

I've been knocking on doors a little the last couple of days and in my travels I ventured into the local Co-op and the owner said that he wouldn't give me any names, but get him some business cards to hand out because he has several ranchers that are in bad need of such services and he would hand them out. He said that he had been hoping of this very thing happening for a while, so I have high hopes.

Just wish I had known this was going to happen a month ago, my land owner just signed a 5 year lease with a gas company for "Mud Farming" that is going to pay him $50,000 a month and that there will be workers out there at MULTIPLE locations. I still have access there, but it is going to be very hit and miss as to when I can go out.

Much better! Oh, and don't worry about the upper case letters in your email address. I did a little Googleing and found this:

Left side is always safe
So, when is it safe to just arbitrarily use upper or lower case letters without any worries that the address won't work? That answer is slightly technical, which I'll explain shortly, but if nothing else, remember this rule of thumb: everything up to, and including, the ".com" (or ".org" or ".net", etc.) portion of the web address is never case sensitive. This means that you never have to worry about whether www.example.com, WWW.EXAMPLE.COM or www.Example.com will work. They all work just fine, so use the one that looks the best to you.

Yep, looks good. Maybe a dark shadow or outline around the text, but other then that all good! Sorry to hear about your hunting spot. Good luck on your search!

Thats funny, I was just in the middle of photoshopping a new card for me.... Chupa when you want to go out let me know I am just north of you in Haslet...

Thin black border around the letters. You'll be surprised how little it takes to make them jump off the page.

Did you try a set of crosshairs over the yote, to imply you were going to shoot them Chupa?
