I used to use Butch's but if you're in a hurry, like shooting at the range and cleaning after every 10 or so shots, Sweets is far more aggressive and works a lot faster.
If I'm not in a big hurry I use Wipe Out. When I've been out hunting for a few days I put the rifle in the vise and squirt Wipe Out in the barrel and leave it overnight. In the morning I just run a couple of patches through and it's clean.
Get a nickel plated jag. When using a copper solvent a brass jag bleeds it's copper content and you'll never see a patch without some blue on it.
I stopped using brushes in my barrels quite some time ago.
