Has anyone actually had any success calling in a predator with one these Cass Creek Nomad remote units. I have only tried mine on two stands and have not had any luck yet. Will the Cass Creek unit be a productive tool or should I get with making the homemade ecaller?
My observations so far:
Both the Jack and Cottontail distress seem realistic.
The coyote pup distress is so real that I almost want to run over there and help the poor little guys out myself.
The volume control on the remote is almost worthless. You can only slightly change the volume up or down after the call starts.
Lack of volume can be helped by purchasing a second unit. I placed them side by side facing oppisite directions and volume seems better with minimal distortion.
The remote only works out to about 60 yrds which is okay I guess. The antenna on the remote is not collapsible which makes it more fragile to take out in the field.
