It goes the other way also. We do appreciate the members here and try to make this site run smooth. Unfortunately there are those that feel the need to cause problems. Look back through this post and look at some of the comments made towards the admin. None of those making the comments even know what has happened. They just feel the need to jump on the Admin here. Take a look at what you have posted in your comment and tell me where the appreciation is in it!! It takes a lot of work to keep the site running.

If and when a member is banned there has been several warnings issued. There are a lot of things happen that lead up to it. It does just happen because someone is not liked. This is all kept private between the admin and the member. There is no need to share it with the other members. Nobody likes their personal things discussed on the open forum.
You guys probably wouldn't take heat like this if it wasn't for your arrogant positions and stances you took when this stuff happens. Thats the way it is, its a private matter and oh by the way… bone up on your TOS, heres a link.
I also believe Cat would love to have the warnings he was given posted in public. He told me he'd never got any, I tend to believe him considering his honesty and your guys track record.

I really think you guys need to look at yourselves and how you do things. The history here is pretty dark and not all that impressive if you know something about it and some of the people involved. I think you could also benefit from a code of conduct standard for your moderators, for some its kinda gone to their heads and it shows in their posts.

As much as CS contributed to PM, and for sure he did a huge amount, I rarely saw the use for so many of his condescending comments that he was quick to make about some of the other posters. And God forbid if you had a differing opinion about anything than what he had! I never saw the need for his verbal attacks that he was so quick to make if someone's thoughts or ideas differed in any way than his did.
Look, we all like to be right when discussing something and we all- everyone of us- has different opinions about different things. But there simply are those of us that don't see the need for the vicious attacks when someone disagrees with something someone else's statement.
For sure, I get argumentative when I think I am right. And like everyone, I am not always right about everything. Not by a long shot. But to belittle someone almost on a daily basis because their thoughts do not fully coincide with your own is not the right way to go about garnering respect and admiration.
Catshooter was smart about guns and reloading and lots of other things. But unfortunately, his mouth was often pretty smart too. And that is the part about him that most of us will not miss.

I write lots of posts but I always read them and ask myself if that is what I really want to put up before I hit the submit button. A lot of times I use the back button and move on, you could benefit from that little nugget of advise.

That's not as big a problem as is the lies. He was not issued any warnings, and was simply banned at the will of our esteemed Moderators. The same lies and antics that have caused so many members to go there own ways. This was once a great source of information and fellowship. Not so much anymore.

I am a latecomer to this forum, but I learned early on that if I challenged Gato I would be pompously and arrogantly rebuked. He sat on his throne, and Heaven forbid anyone to challenge his final word. If you did, you were told in no uncertain terms that you were a peon and he had forgotten more about the subject (and it didn't matter what it was...) than you would ever know.
I am only 60 and have only been handloading since 1980, so there is a whole lot I do not know. But I ask you all: when was the last time you saw him say "I don't know" to anything? If I don't know I will tell you I don't know. And NO ONE knows it all. Not even the Cat.
And as far as TOS, it is the responsibility of the Moderators to keep this forum and site running smoothly, call out our transgressions, and keep things on an even keel. You agree to that when you join. I support them and the difficult job they do. If you don't like what they do, there are plenty of other forums to join. Banning someone because they may not have had the best people skills is one thing but doing it after they've been here since near time and memorial is different. Cat has been Cat for a very long time, its strange that now after all these years its a problem.

I can truely say I will miss Catshooter. Was he knowledgeable, sure he was. Was he opinionated, of course. Most of us are. Would he come back, who knows. I didn't know him other than here on PM but did talk to him once on the phone and he is a very nice guy. He is brash and isn't very good at curbing his tongue but there are a few on here that aren't either, me included. He helped me on several occasions figure out load issues. His courseness made me laugh most of the time, sometimes I wanted to strangle him. I for one will miss him here but figure we will cross paths in the future.At least I hope so. After 14 pages, I don't think the mods are planning on changing their minds and maybe we are just making things worse. Maybe we should move on and make the best of whats left of a decent website. I don't want anymore PM buddies to get banned and as I don't either.
I dont post a lot on here these days but read lots. I always enjoyed reading the Cats posts. Reminded me of my Dad.He would give information, what you did with it was your business. I had some great private messages with him about interweb myths. IMHO, a person with his knowledge and experience, that takes time to post answers to questions that can be dug out of the dust files or out of his brain, is a very generous human.
