Cheap home made snow camo I made.

I shared this on my Iowa Sportsman forum and some guys seemed to really like them so I thought I'd share the idea here.

I wanted snow camo and was looking at the sporting goods stores and wasn't all that impressed with what they had, especially for the $$$ they wanted so I ended up buying a cheap set of white 3XL sweat pants/shirt (under$15) and a white ski mask ($5), set down with a couple sharpies in hand and ended up with this. What do you think?

Looks good enough for me to be heading to the store for sweats right now.

I have used sweat pants and hoodie before. Once wet and thaw you start looking like frosty and adding 20 lbs of snow. Especially around the ankles. You might want to wash with sportwash then spray with uv killer then apply a coat of water repelent. That is a great design though. Good job.

Looks good!! I have a pair of scrub bottoms i wear sometimes over my overalls and a big long underwear top.

This got me thinking. I have one of those one piece disposable white "hazmat" type suits you use for nasty cleanups on job sites. I think it is made of Tyvek material. It shouldn't soak up moisture. I bet that would work pretty good. I'll drag it out and see if I can do some kind of pattern like that on it. I think they can be bought for under $10.

Looks good. I used to wear white sweat stuff like that.
The only draw back I had was they got wet real easy and then heavy.

Looks really good. I have some tyvek coveralls I use if there is good snow cover.

Never thought of using sweats. $1 white twin flat sheet and $1 can of tan or brown spray paint. Makes 1 light weigh poncho that breaks up your outline. Can wear good camo underneath for waterproof and warmth. Some areas I hunt snow will work at one stand and good camo in another.

The sweats look good but I found they get wet and freeze.
I have some Kings camo and I also use military surplus snow camo.Is fits big so I can wear it over my regular hunting clothes. It is nylon so it sheds the snow. Very lightweight.

sniper4life1, twin sheet? i hate you skinny guys! i cant find 6x white sweats. all kidding aside, where do you get big tyveks? apc has surplus ponchos for 20 bucks. Or,, i could get sheets from the prison, but they ain't the most sanitary!!
