I use Dewey rods also.

I'll +12 the Dewey, but definitely get a bore guide. Just an hour ago my buddy showed me his brand new Dewey rod with about 4" of coating peeled off of it. The bore guide doesn't just protect the bore.

Have mostly Dewey. No real complaints. Have a few Bore tech, like them more than Dewey. Have quite an assortment of others not worth mentioning.

Have only one Tipton CF, a .17 which I got after bending a few Proshot and a couple not as nice as the Proshot. I think if I ever need another rod for any bore size, which is unlikely as I am pretty well set with Dewey and Bore tech, but if I do need another I'll probably get another Tipton.

my dewey rods are maybe 25 years old & I've never bent one.

the boretechs are something over 10 years old & I've never bent one of them either.

both are quality rods, I just like the boretech handles better.
