Dead dog walking TV show.

LOL! Just you wait until they get a bipod sponsor! Then that grass will be long gone and you'll see fawning closeups of shiny black metal bipods

I love how everyone is so quick to judge. Has any of you ever made a tv show? Of course he is going to promote his sponsors. Thats how he pays the bills and does what he loves for a living. I like seeing the misses. If you can sit and write that you kill every coyote that comes to a stand well then you definetly need your own show. I like hearing what sounds they use and how long they used them. Yeah the graphics and intro are lame but at least its real hunting.

I need my own show then.....j/k of course. I am not quick to judge, I gave the show a shot and I just didnt like it. No big deal. Even if I dont like, I would watch it if it is on. I like coyote hunting, and I like watching it on TV. I can just tune out the BS.

With that said, I just feel that If I was going to do a show, I would truly try to capture the mindset and essence of my peers. I dont know that I myself would feel comfortable with all the fast talking, shoot em up, extreme coyote hunting show style but hey maybe that is what gets you on TV and maybe that is what sells the sponsors.

I just wish that someone came out with a show that showed 3 or 4 quality stands. The set up, the wind, the time on stand, that calls used, the time of year, gun used, caliber used, bullets used, distance of shot etc. To me that is much more valubale than all the other stuff they show. Even if they miss that is just fine as long as they show the set up and what got the coyotes or bobcats out in the open. So who knows, maybe I will make my own show. I bet you anything that if I made my own show there would be people that didnt like it and would prefer the other shows. To each their own.

I dont mean to come across as critical, I just feel that the show does nothing for me as a coyote hunter.

Worst predator hunting show I've ever seen. Guys like them give ALL hunters a bad reputation. They need to learn how to shoot before they attempt to hunt anything. Knowing how to shoot has nothing to do with how hard it is to make a TV show. They have like 3-4 guys, two shooting one filming plus others most likely. The sponsors ought to be ashamed of themselves hiring clowns like them. I'll avoid their products when possible. The anti's will be all over this one!

I can just see asking a land owner for permission to hunt after seeing those guys spraying bullets everywhere then breaking their arms patting themselves on the back. The anti's will wonder about the wounded calf killers they created and the horrible slow death they inflicted on the coyote. He can't even sit still after the shots. Needs to take his Ritalin and stay home. Hope I never hunt in the same state when they're around.

Great! But we were asked for an opinion and now you've given yours.

As for myself I don't much care for the show. So far I've seen two gutshot coyotes and one that was shot at 3 times at close range with a shotgun. The dog was wounded and slowed to a stop then was put down with a rifle shot. I really didn't care for the cackling and whooping from the guys congratulating each other for a fine shot.

Yeah.....we hunt and sometimes it ain't pretty. It happens but we don't need to see it on TV. These guys need to work on the show a but more. Try cutting down on the intro time and the wild west stuff and "get to callin'" Some clean kills or even clean misses would add to the show. Showing some respect for the animals would help, to.

Now, of course, that's just my opinion.

This show has been discussed on other hunting sites and the ratio of good opinions vs bad is about the same. I'll probably watch the show again but I hope they make some improvements.

I admit that I only caught the last 10 minutes of this episode being discussed, but what little bit of it I saw was not the best television or the best reflection of the sport.

While you always want to see (and we all understand) a certain level of excitement and enthusiasm on all of the hunting shows, predator and otherwise, there is an attitude, a mentality, that I like to see presented when I know non-hunters or beginning hunters may be tuning in.

When one sees the genuine excitement of a Les Johnson or a Fred Eichler or the Mojo guys, it's an enthusiasm for the sport and the outdoors that carries through the television to fellow outdoorsmen and to non-hunters alike and the professionalism in their attitudes and editing is obvious.

The last part of the show that I caught was a little over the top as far as the conversation, attitude, and descriptions of the action and of all of the predator hunting shows I watch, this one is by far the weakest of the bunch. Just my humble opinion.

Between this show and F&F (the kid on there) I would say they all need to get together and go work on their shot placement! Pretty sad when you miss a coyote twice at 10 yards with a scatter gun!

I'm going to start spitting out the stuff I use after I kill a coyote!

"Well I could not have made this shot if it weren't for my DPMS rifle and my Magpul Pmag which was capable of supplying the the DPMS with 20 rounds of Nosler BT bullets being held by my LC brass with the Remmington BR 7 1/2 primers igniting the ultra fast Hodgdon gun powder and of course my Nikon scope allowing me to see the coyote and kill with it's ultra clear lens!"

Dang it forgot to add the calls and camo! I'm going to have to work on it a bit. You were right it is hard to make a show.

I just saw the first one the other day. I don't care about them promoting their sponsors....but what I don't like is all that high five andyelling with joy. PULLLLEASE act like you've been there before. I hate that juvenile crap. If you're going to try to make a professional video at least act professional. Sorry, don't like the show that much.
Someone on this site that possibly knows those guys should direct them to this topic and after they read it, they may come around who knows.

isn't that the same guy hosting the zinks devil dogs dvd???
very last shot they dialed up the NF NXS on the 50... for a 100yd shot LMAO!!! BUT, they're gettin kills on vid and obviously people are watchin, i've seen it couple times and would much rather watch Fred on Predator Nation!!!

They sure like to think they know what they are talking about. I like how they think it gets there wind only to stop 5 feet later. Any coyote that I have seen get human scent is [beeep] bent on leaving the country and there is no stopping them. Almost all of their shots are at coyotes that are leaving. To me is seems like they think that every word they speak is gospel. I expect a lot more from "professionals" on tv. I'll watch it to learn what not to do, and its fun to make fun of their comments.

Okay - so I finally watched a whole episode just so that my bashing above didn't stand alone on 5-6 minutes of the show alone. This was a different episode and the editing was a bit better and there wasn't as much hootin' and hollerin' over bad shots. Since I'm hooked on this sport and I have to get my fix somehow, even if it's through televion, I know I'll watch it again.

But based on this last show and like TKA said above, it appears I'll get more how-not-to's than how-to's from this show. While Les Johnson and Fred Eichler have two very different hunting styles, they are light years ahead of these guys skill-wise. They do have pretty some pretty slick production graphics and expensive cowboy costumes if nothing else.

On a lighter note, after watching this last episode, it's nice to know that I'm not the only guy still working on perfecting his distress sounds on a mouth call!

I saw the show finally. The guy's kinda talk pretty aggressively and my son (7 years old) kinda relates better to the other shows like predatornation or predator quest. For me it's a hunting show with some WWE thrown in. I'll watch almost any hunting show only after i tivo it and then i can fast forward. just another opinion.

I actually like the show but have seen them make some terrible shots! But we all have done that too! Maybe if they were shooting Savage rifles instead of Howa this wouldnt be such of an issue! LOL, not really just thought Id stir up the pot a little!
