Don't like how I hunt, huh?

I'll leave all the morality, etc. on this issue to those of you who are close enought to God to have all the facts. I'm apparently lacking when it comes to those kind of issues.

One fact I will pass on to you, however, is that I have hunted on numerous ranches in both Montana and Texas, and none of them had high fences that slowed up game in any way.

How can that be if we are to simply believe your self-righteous and very narrow minded view of hunting....and people/life in general?

I hunt area's, like the middle fork of the Flathead River, 100,000 acres, or Snow crest Range, 500,000 acres, Elk may or may not be there, they have free will to range where they might. Texas doesn't' have much public lands, you guys keep your ranches, just don't pass your hunt off as fair chase.

You really need to read the whole post. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

I'm getting real tired of your lopsided view of Texas. I've hunted Texas for over 30 years and not once have I ever hunted on, next to, or near a high fence. Nor has any high fence ever had an impact on my hunting opportunities. Texas has 756,464 acres of public land by the way. We also have ranches larger than most of your public hunting areas like the King Ranch that covers 825,000 acres. That's larger than the entire state of Rhode Island. Texas is a big place my friend. Just as you shouldn't be lumped in with the likes of Ted Turner because he owns a ranch in Montana, you shouldn't lump all us Texans in with the few high fence places we have here.

And by the way, we have a higher deer concentration in central Texas per acre than anywhere else. Including these "game farms" you so despise. If high concentrations of animals causes CWD and other diseases, where's our epidemic?

Someone go kill a dang coyote for God's sake!

Hunters need to band together to fight the anti's, no matter what, how,or where they hunt. If it's a legal hunt then we need to stick together and support the type of hunt that is being attacked by the anti's.

Those that choose to take the side of the anti's are on the wrong site and just want to split up the hunters and start arguements between us. We can't let those people get away with trying to destroy hunting, this site, or any other site. Any hunter with any common sense knows that he will lose in the long run if he sleeps with the anti's against any type of legal hunting. You lose one type of hunting then the anti's will attack another until it's gone. Then another and another and then hunting will be gone.

Great story ,Sad but true .HSUS is a evil empire. Devide & devour the American outdoorsman is first and formost priority. All sportman better wake up!!

I have read every thread on this post. So, what your saying is that you walk those 100,000 or 500,000 acres all in one hunt...thats pretty amazing. And why would you hunt an area unless you were almost 100% possitive that there is going to be something there? Just because you know high fenced areas have something there, dose not always mean you will get something. Most of the raches here are low fenced anyways and just about anything can get trough or over them...a lot of times including cattle. There really is no fair chase to hunting...we have all the advantages...only real fair chase would be to run an animal down or ambush one and kill it with your bare hands. We are talking about preserving hunting (all forms) for everyone.

Very true. ALL hunters, and ALL shooters must stand together, united against the anti's as one powerful voice to be reconed with. "United we stand, divided we fall". Those words still ring true.
