I was an FFL dealer up until July last year.
I can tell you this for a fact.
One gun at $600, twenty guns order will get a $10 discount per gun. I had never ordered more than twenty guns during the 25 years I was an FFL holder. But once or twice I did querry distributors about volume discount for 50 and 100 gun order. Well, the discount did not amount to any more than 10%.
Whatever price you see on guns at Walmart, that is about what distributors charge FFL dealers and small gun shops. I figure Walmart and its power buy could not have got it for any less than 25% of the price tag you see at their sporting goods counter. Of course Walmart does not purchase through distributors. Walmart buys directly from manufacturers.
