I also much prefer an 18 in barrel with a 1 in 7 or 1 in 8 twist with a Smith Vortex on the end of it and I like quadrails with a surefure light or laser designator and a folding front grip if you want the big bucks for an AR set it up right. I do think there are a lot of preditor hunters who really want the 204 ruger and I hear a lot of talk about 17cal rifles on some coyote sites and one chambered in a 17 Fireball which would really be something that is not available elsewhere. Most hunters dont really reazlize it but having the Smith Vortex will help to save your night vision by reducing muzzle flash this is a very important issue when you are using an illuminated optic and hunting at night. I prefer that a barrel be stainless but would really like to see one that had the camo coating over the stainless to tone it down or at least a similar color tone. You used black teflon but Walter Birdsong has a tan color t finish which would be a far better color match.
How about adding a single point sling attachment point so people dont have to take recoil spring buffer tube off to add one.
A lot of that is personal preference. The Trijicon scope that is shown in the first picture, does not come with the rifle. It is just a scope we had mounted for the picture. You can mount any type of optic of your choice, and use any type of mount on the A3 flattop receiver.
If you prefer to use a single point sling, removing the buffer tube isn't necessary to mount the adapter. You would just have to remove the top screw on the buttplate, pull the stock off, and replace the latch plate with the adapter.
