Dream Act By Executive Order Today

i just about started laughing diring his speech.
he talks about them being them being good citizens that will contribute to our country and ecomomy.
me thinks (maybe) 20% will do that. the other 80% will help pull the drain on our already backed up sewer of our economy.

i'm a "conservitive" Doggin!

My Grandfather came through Ellis Island from Italy in the early 1900s did everything asked, including fighting for the US and became a citizen. This is a slap in the face to every legal person who has ever went through the process. Doing something illegal should not be a ticket to circumvent the proper law bidding way to be in the United States. Obama needs to understand that and also needs to go.

They're saying that there are about 800,000 illegals who will be affected by this law. They will be given a pass and a work permit. With this economy, just where are they going to get jobs? And those that do will be taking them from qualified, real Americans who deserve the jobs before illegals. This is wrong in so many ways.

I wonder if Obama knows that?

Don't look like it.

Does this also mean that the poor Illegals that cant find employment also start draining the unemployment funds that are already being drained and that they probably never paid into? Good Job Zero!

O and his commie cronies can call it anything they can think of but it still amounts to breaking the law.

. the president will simply call it... whatever his writers and teleprompters tell him what to say. Arent there 57 states now? Oh... those are Islamic states. He would be much more in touch with those.

"... would not conform to my appropriate role as President." WHAT???!!! Are you kidding me??? It would be illegal and TREASONOUS to bypass Congress and the Senate with this new incarnation of a border elimination and alien amnesty law! In fact, it would be treasonous for the President to sign into law anything that someone else suggested, even if FROM Congress or the Senate that was unconstitutional, such as this one would be! Holy crap! He is so full of crud!

They've already got jobs, with their fake ID's. If they've been here that long, they are pretending to be citizens, and very likely are also guilty of identity theft, in some form or fashion. The part I find more ridiculous is... This is only going to cure the problem for 800,000 of them, what about the other 12.2 million of them??

Quote:would ask RR also but he seems to have about dissapeared after the WI deal Glad to see you’re concerned about me. I’m still here and doing fine. Why do you think I would be upset about the results of the WI recall?

Quote:graduated from a U.S. high school or earned a GED, or served in the militaryWhile I agree with most of you that this is a bad idea and an act of political pandering, the part about not deporting those illegals that have served in the military is at least worthy of some consideration.

It doesn't take but about 3 seconds to give that consideration, rimmy. He threw in the part about those serving in the military because as pretender in chief, he has no clue what he is talking about. It is not possible for an ILLEGAL alien to serve in any branch of the military.

US Military Enlistment Standards
Citizenship
By Rod Powers, About.com Guide
In order to join the US Military, you must either be a US citizen, or you must be a legal permanent immigrant, physically living in the United States, with a green card. The US military cannot and will not assist with the immigration process. If you are not a US citizen, you must legally and permanently immigrate to the United States first, via the regular immigration procedures and quotas, establish a residence, and then (if you meet the other qualifying criteria), visit a military recruiter's office and apply for enlistment.
http://usmilitary.about.com/od/joiningthemilitary/a/enlcitizen.htm

Having said that, I agree with you that the rules should be changed to allow people here illegally to join a branch of the military and after serving honorably, be granted full citizenship. That would totally negate any need for the so called Dream act. Anyone between the ages of 16-30 desiring citizenship, regardless of status, serve one term of enlistment and with an honorable discharge you're good to go.

Had he have done this by executive order he would have accomplished his goals and no one from either side would have offered any arguments, a slam dunk. The problem is the liberal mindset believes everyone should be treated equally without having to work or put out any effort to achieve that equality. Those who sit on their butts and suck at the gubmint teat get everything that the hard working producers get.
