It doesn't take but about 3 seconds to give that consideration, rimmy. He threw in the part about those serving in the military because as pretender in chief, he has no clue what he is talking about. It is not possible for an ILLEGAL alien to serve in any branch of the military.
US Military Enlistment Standards
Citizenship
By Rod Powers, About.com Guide
In order to join the US Military, you must either be a US citizen, or you must be a legal permanent immigrant, physically living in the United States, with a green card. The US military cannot and will not assist with the immigration process. If you are not a US citizen, you must legally and permanently immigrate to the United States first, via the regular immigration procedures and quotas, establish a residence, and then (if you meet the other qualifying criteria), visit a military recruiter's office and apply for enlistment.

Having said that, I agree with you that the rules should be changed to allow people here illegally to join a branch of the military and after serving honorably, be granted full citizenship. That would totally negate any need for the so called Dream act. Anyone between the ages of 16-30 desiring citizenship, regardless of status, serve one term of enlistment and with an honorable discharge you're good to go.
Had he have done this by executive order he would have accomplished his goals and no one from either side would have offered any arguments, a slam dunk. The problem is the liberal mindset believes everyone should be treated equally without having to work or put out any effort to achieve that equality. Those who sit on their butts and suck at the gubmint teat get everything that the hard working producers get.
