DTECH RIFLES, LET'S SEE YOURS

A quick side bar. Old Turtle and Capitol, where did you guys get the skelotonized butt stock??

Those are ACE skeleton stocks. You can get those just about anywhere that sells AR stocks or parts.

Thanks evil lurker /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif. Im not to worried about being able to carry stuff in the stock. I have decided on a 204 so im looking at saving weight where I can cuz' of the 22" barrel. I really like the looks of that ace skeleton stock. Im jealous of you guys and your black rifles /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif hopefully it wont be too much longer /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

By the way, it says on their product page that the ACE is 3.6 oz. lighter than an A2. I really didn't notice it when I swapped them. If you're getting a 22" barrel, you really need to hve it deeply fluted, or it's going to be extremely muzzle heavy and a brute to pack.

Another D build. K8 mag 243 wssm

Thanks alot yotecallr /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif I just got over dreaming about ordering an ar from Mike becuase my fiance said no im going to have to wait a few months, becuase she thinks the wedding is more important /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. Question for you guys with the ace stock. How do you like it and is it noticeably lighter than the standard stock.

You may want to reconsider that relationship.
You are the one that makes the decision about getting an AR or whatever else. If it is a mutual decision that is fine but if she is in charge now, telling you "No" you got a tough row to hoe.

In 25 years my wife has never said no. She has given me her opinion and let me decide based on the available information. She has however never said no. That is not to say I have always done exactly what I wanted to do but it has always been mutual.

Sorry bout the rant but I hate it when someone says my wife won't let me. Geez!

mbowerma,

I am in between jobs right now and just wasted alot of money moving to Oregon for a week to turn around and come back home. The job I had wasnt what I thought and the company really jacked me around. So its not that she said no its just need to wait a few months. We have decided to pay for alot of the wedding ourselves. Trust me I wouldnt be marrying her if she was tellling me no about getting a gun. I was joking around when I put that in my last post. I should have made that more clear. And no worries about ranting /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I have to agree:::

While I can understand her concern, my wife will discuss any proposed situation with me, but the decision is mine.

When we were first married, and even before, and I was considering a new car, motorcycle, etc... The comment was, "You know what you can afford..." and after 20 years, it's still pretty much the same...She has her income, I have mine and after the basic bills are paid, we each make our own decisions....

There are three basic factors that will cause problems in a marital relationship: 1) Money, 2) Sex, and 3) Booze...in all the potential applications...

You had better be really comfortable with where each of you stand on each one of them....

Here's mine--it now wears a 4X12 Leupold. Have had it since December and have not put a round down the barrel--shame on me! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif
