This is from Fred Eichler facebook page

We are proud to make this statement in unity with Ralph and Vicki Cianciarullo, Archers Choice and the Choice

Due to the recent changes in policies made by Reed Exhibition we will not be attending the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show unless they reverse their decision.

As strong supporters of our 2nd Amendment rights ...we are all united in this decision. We were all looking forward to attending again this year to see our friends and fellow sportsmen and women and regret this unfortunate situation.

Sincerely, Fred and Michele Eichler, Fulldraw Outfitters, Predator Nation TV and Easton Bowhunting TV. God save America and our constitutional rights.

I also seen today that Cabelas had pulled out from being there.

Yeah, big news here in PA - the show is one of, or the, largest in the outdoor sports shows in the US. Everything outdoors is there, and a bunch more that isn't. The organizers banned any display of "tactical" items, including AR's. From what I'm reading, the organizers are based in CT, and may be headquartered out of country - England?? Cabela's publicly pulled out (that's big there), as did others like:

Blaine Anthony, The Bear Whisperer

Boondock Outdoors

Trop Gun Shop

DuckWater Boats Dover Ohio

Lancaster Archery Supply

Nature Blinds, LLC

Whitetail Bosses

Domari Nolo Defense Consulting

Wired Outdoors

Atlantic Tactical

Direct Action Tactical Firearms

Cutting Edge Bullets

Dead Ringer

Kinsey Outdoors

My Northeast Outdoors

DR james Kroll (aka Dr. Deer)

This list is "so far". Some are PA-specific, some not. Many other celebrities, companies and outfitters that attend are just hearing about it, and considering their move. It's really gaining some steam by the look of it. Typically, thousands of people per day attend the 9 day event, but this year it may hurt a bit. We always go down Friday of the show, but maybe won't this year. It's a good time, but there a principle to stand by here too. The way it's going, I can see the org's tune changing - Even Tiff Laskowsky's thinking of not showing up?!?! What would we look at - deer heads all day!?!? LOL!

It's about 2 weeks away yet, so we'll see what they do. I feel bad for the people who already paid thousands for booths there - they are probably out their $$ if they hold out. I see the lawyers having a ball.

Here's a thread from HuntingPA.com on it.
http://www.huntingpa.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2931612&page=1

Everybody's pushing to get you to support those businesses and celebs that are making the right statement here with extra business and supporting emails, letters, etc. I can see this backfiring on the org's big time, and ending up with every celeb having an AR-hunting segment on each of their shows next year - even the bowhunter-only ones! Bigger than the Zumbo thing maybe?? Everybody knows you can't hunt with those darn things anyhow. And you don't need 30 rounds to do it.

This thing has been gaining steam over the weekend, and I'm sure that the org's won't respond til tomorrow for sure, but just and update on who's publicly backed out so far:

2 Million Bullets
Alaska’s Ravencroft Lodge
Arrowhead Outdoors

Zook Cabins

Some big/popular names there - Zook Cabins is Amish!! Even they like their AR's!! Tiff and Lee Laskowski are making an announcement Monday am or so after consulting with lawyers and what have you. I'm sure many others are in the process right now - being the weekend, some business decisions won't be made til this week. This is gonna hurt....the organizers. Sounds like even if they reverse their decision to save face and $$, many people are just saying, "I'm not going".

We always take the kids and make a day of it. They are upset, but we aren't going unless something changes. Guess we will make a trip to Cabela's instead.
We need to stick together and show our financial clout on this one.

Sounds like you have not fully committed to the boycott.

I hope even if they change their minds, the sponsor don't go. Otherwise, they really don't take a hit for their original lame position.

You're right on both accounts, and I agree with your assessment and my position at the moment is only becuz I already committed with friends to go - we do every year. One of them works there the day we go, so I already committed to split the trip. Backing out wouldn't be huge to them I supposed, but they already jump me about being late for things that don't matter, etc. I'm watching cautiously at this point. I do want to get in on supporting the sponsors backing out with emails and purchases where I am looking to buy things. If it was just me involved, I'd say the he!! with it regardless, a save some $$ and spend it on the supporting sponsors. I have plenty of my own little one man boycotts going on locally with liars, thieves, etc. that are local business owners - they have lost more than they'll ever know. This one's about more than just me right now, but I may have to pi$$ off some friends to make a political point too.

I just checked around the HuntingPA.com site for updates, and it's looking like it's really taking a hold. The NSSF claims over 200,000 attend the show annually - hopefully many less this year. Over 50 vendors and celebs have already bailed, and that's only the weekend basically, Cabela's being the biggie that started it all.

Guess I need to make a phone call tomorrow I shoulda already made......

No... "Reed Exhibitions" is based in NYC and has offices around the world.

NSSF (National Shooting Sports Foundation) is in Connecticut, and is not involved with this.

Why would any of us applaud the vendors pulling out if we aren't willing to refuse to go ourselves?

Take a stand for God's sake and refuse to attend any such show and tell every friend you have to do the same. YOU and I have the power to stop this idiocy in its tracks right now.

Sorry for the rant, but is it so hard to "Just say no?"

Just seen that on facebook. That's gotta hurt, big PA company pulling out of a PA event.

I am proud of these companies and everyone else boycotting this event. I have never been but even if I had taken vacation made reservations and plans this is one I would have to forget about and I dont own a single AR or any other tactical rig. But there are principles and I hold them high.

sure would be nice if we could start up a fund to help payback these companies losses or atleast some of them. That is for the ones who are boycotting,, Id donate

Start a fund? Really?

You will have to excuse me for being a simpleton but..... Why don't you just show your support by purchasing their products instead.

No kidding ! Besides the $ paid out for the show is an expense and can be written off at tax time.

Buy from the sponsers and make sure to tell them thanks for doing what's right !
