Eastern Video release!!!!!!!!

Buckrun,

I use talcum powder, but I dont see why flower would not work just as well. The talcum powder has a little smell to it.

Sitting here by the fire, watching the rain, wishing that my Christmas Present had made it. But alas, knowing my luck with UPS it is probably somewhere in Arizona /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gifand I may get it for Valentines day. Or, they left in on the step when I was gone and the neighbors dog took it home to watch. Ten days Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Buckrun, I've got a neat little scent free wind checker. It's called Wind Tracker. It is a small rubbery plastic case with a key ring on one end. Inside is a stringy fiber a little like cotton. You just pull a small pinch of the fiber out and let it float in the wind. The good thing about this is the wind will carry it up and down so if the wind is swirling you can watch the fiber to see where your scent is really going. It comes in 2 colors: orange and white. I use the orange, you can see it float further than you would think. They are also refillable. I keep it on my call lanyard. If you're interested and can't find one, let me know. The local sporting goods store here has them, I can get one and send it to you. I'll post a picture if anyone is interested.

Guys,

Only thing that could of set them back were the holidays. I know everyone that has orderd as of Thursday 12/22 was shipped out. They were taking two days to get the orders prossesed and shipped out.

I am sorry for the delays! The video's are being shipped out of Atlanta GA. I have E-mails into them now to make sure everything is good! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Thanks,
Brent

I received my video, thought it was great. Cannot wait for the next to come out. Only problem is that my DVD player would not play it, kept getting error messages about not being able to read the disc. Lots of skipping and lost audio. Worked fine when played on my P.C. though. And yes, I checked three other DVDs in the DVD player and they all worked flawlessly. Do not ask me, I do not understand electronics. The only real draw backs that I experienced was that the screen I viewed this on is only 17 inches and I had to sit in an office type chair instead of on the couch or recliner. No biggie I guess.
p.s. My wife is particularly happy that calling season is here for me again and she gets to listen to the calls. LOL. My little dog sure enjoyed the music though!

Gman R,

It should paly in the dvd player. If it will not play then there is either a finger print or something on the disk or it has a scratch on it, or the disk could be bad.

We will replace the disk for free. Please contact me and we will get this lined out.

PM sent!

Brent

depending on when it was shipped, it might have taken 4 days to get here. I got it today and wont get to watch it until tonight or tomorrow after checking traps. But it's here. I will give a report on it after I watch it. Jeff

I got my video and I must say it was great to finally see a move that declares "back to the basics" and it acutally IS! I found it very informative. The only thing I would suggest is more killn' Rednecks love watchn' killn'. Thanks for a great video I cant wait to see the next one.

Im glad it got there Jeff! Let us know what you think!

huntnpa,

Glad you liked it as well. The next video has alot more shooting in it. With this one being back to basic's we kept it more on the how to side. And broke the hunts down for the viewers, so it would explain more of what they needed to do.

Thanks,
Brent

Almost two years ago there was a long conversation held in my cabin at the LBL. It started just before midnight and lasted until around 1:45 am.Keekee started it with the one question. What should be done in a video. There were a few of us seasoned pros as well as a couple of near beginers in the room. We weighed all the pros and cons and really hashed it out good. Been a few more conversations about it since.

I saw parts of the whole conversation tonight as I watched this video. Everything we talked about was there, at least a little of all of it. He showed you what a really good setup needs as well as HOW to find it. He touched on travel lanes and what they are and how to recognize them. I think I also recognized some LBL footage in there as well, ain't no place else I know of where the coyotes are so vocal. He gave you an excellent lesson in how to work with the howler. I listened as he repeated the same thing the coyote was telling him, while trying to get them to work for him.

Now the one thing I did miss was the real Brent Saxton. There was only a couple of times in the video when he showed up. I am not sure who that uptight fella was /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif You got to see him during the section where he talked about sounds. You got to see the real Brent when he located the setup for the first kill you see in the video. That was where he knew absolutely he had the right exact spot, I could see he had the feeling in his gut right then, that sly little grin creeped in there /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. At the setup for the second kill he was there as well, the serious coyote hunter that knew it was right when he looked at it! No ifs, no and's ,and no but's , he knew he was going to make a kill right there!! And he told you why as well.

Keekee, Ya done real good boy /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I have seen a number of videos. I haven't seen a lot of what the beginer really needs until now. All the others touch on a few things but haven't gone into the details as much as has been done in this one. If you pay close attention and study this video , you will get everything you invested and then some back out of it.

Keekee, don't bring that uptight dude to the hunt /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif He won't be half the fun the real guy is. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Jimmie

Thanks Jimmie! That means a lot coming from a seasoned hunter!

I remember a lot of those talks at the LBL! And I remembered a lot of it when I started laying this video out as well! I also remembered a long thread in the Eastern forum were guys were throwing out idea they wanted to see. I used a lot of that stuff to try and give the viewers what they wanted! And still have that thread and notes for the next few video’s as well! I went over those notes many times and spent some late hours at the desk deciding what and when I wanted to talk about things and what I wanted to see in the first and second and third eastern video.

I think the second video will take things up a lot more! Along with some very nice hunts and eastern kills. Things are already coming together good for the next in the series.

I sure am glad it is what everyone was looking for. I was a little un easy at the release, hoping it would give the viewers what they were looking for. It all came together well though.

Thanks! For all the kind words!

Hey….Up TIGHT????? I thought I did well for the first video! You should of seen all the bloopers! And re takes! And, And, And, Well never mind! You ever tried talked into one of them there camera things????? Takes some getting use to….lol

Great video Brent. Mine arrived yesterday. Took it from the mailbox to the dvd player. Lots of good info. Can't wait to get #2. The whacking scenes were a hoot. I think JD needs a little more of a speaking part. At least an introduction. Could have used a good looking Kentucky guy like myself. I'll work cheap too. :)

Great Job
