Fahrenheit 7-11....anybody gonna see it ?

OH, and Sean:
I hope you never have to pay for YOUR medications as obviously you do NOT. When you watch the drug commercials you will feel as I do. The drug companies in this country get away with a LOT. *Never judge a man until you have walked a mile in his moccasins*. Know that one?

And...flip flop political minds? Uh..last I was aware I told you I do NOT vote one party. I listen to all candidates before making a decision. I used to...and found that many times one party or the other far outshines the other. You all will vote for ANY republican who runs ..admit it! That is WHY I used Hitler as an example. I know JRB knew what I was saying but he bobbed his way out of it by explaining Hitler's ideology.
.......
As for bobbing...yes I do have varied opinions. They do not all agree with ONE side or person..does that mean I do not vote for that side or person? I take the person whom *I* think covers everything well. I KNOW that not all things will EVER meet my expectations. Hell..that is the way of friendship as well. I simply state here how *I* feel about things. I also take in what all of you say and look into those things. I like to know ALL sides as best I can.

I NEVER cut you all down or try to belittle you..I only voice *my* opinion as right or wrong as you see it. I am sure you do not mean to cut anyone else down on this board either. *cough*
Seems to me you have fun with my posts....of course I can not post..it is not really all that big of deal. I like this board, but if what I say is offensive to the majority..I won't die without it. If you all enjoy have a little whipping post...hey I will stay. My skin is a bit thicker than you realize. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Maybe in my own way I am trying to help you see that even though you are right about certain things..there ARE other issues out there. AND...things are NOT as you think they are. You just believe Bush fixed Medicare. HAH..I hope you never need it! I am QUITE sure you all do not use it or know anyone who does!

It is my firm belief that you all have your minds set...and just cannot bring yourselves to voice the opinions you hold deep inside. Just like what JRB said..there are a LOT of things about GW that he finds he does not agree with, but he will not voice them. I find that *anyone* who dares to speak out about something AND have firm reason for doing so...they get jumped upon like they are idiots who have not done their homework. I am thin skinned in many ways but about this NO...I KNOW what I say about the drug companies and about the new Medicare plan to be true. One day it *might* become obvious to all of you!! Personally, I hope not...I would not wish it on anyone.

Free speech, the ability speak your opinion. I love it. We haven't lost it totally yet.

I wouldn't pay a theater a dime to see any of Moores movies. I may watch them if they are on TV.

Of corse bush hasn't fixed medicare... it still exsists.

A person with your money would have the best of the best care if we did away with the welfare programs of america... you pick and chose your cutting edge medicines and adult care facilities and have the best of the best since you worked your whole life earn whats in the bank.

The problem with your bipolar politics ( I made that up and really like it ) is that you can't take both sides of an issue. You can't say, "Give medicines to those who can't afford it" and then turn around and say "Regulate the medicinal prices" Its flip flopping... not any deep thought! Thats like saying, "Segregate Schools" and then "Pay reperations" I mean jesus, pick a side and use the platform... anything less just cuts into the credibility of a stance. The way you've stated your case makes it impossible for you to chose one canidate... if Bush and Kerry both spent ten minutes with you they'd save their yard signs on you because you're just deciding on a whim. Maybe there are more out there like you... I've just never met em' so openly confused.

Ladyjane

I hope you never have to pay for YOUR medications as obviously you do NOT. When you watch the drug commercials you will feel as I do. The drug companies in this country get away with a LOT. *Never judge a man until you have walked a mile in his moccasins*. Know that one?
yes I know that expression quite well , you might consider remembering it every now then before you judge someone. It is not all the drug companies fault in the prices we have to pay , sometime when you get a chance, check to see how much the insurance company is making.

And...flip flop political minds? Uh..last I was aware I told you I do NOT vote one party.
I never said that you did vote one political party over a other. If I came across as saying that , then I truly sorry. What I meant was at times your views and opinion contradic each other making it hard to follow what you are expressing.

You all will vote for ANY republican who runs ..admit it!
No considering on my voters registration card it says that I am a Democrat(ready for the flaming to begin). I vote the way that I think things should be done. IF a democratic candidate share the same issue as I do then that candidate does not get my vote.

I NEVER cut you all down or try to belittle you..I only voice *my* opinion as right or wrong as you see it. I am sure you do not mean to cut anyone else down on this board either. *cough*
As I was mine with my own opinion. There was nothing in my previous post that I could see as being remotely belittling or offensive.I was merely calling it as I saw it.

You just believe Bush fixed Medicare.
I never said that he did fix Medicare. As far I am concerned nothing was really accomplished but to make people pay more money out of their own pocket.

I am QUITE sure you all do not use it or know anyone who does!
You are wrong on that account. I know several people that are on it or have been on it. I have several contact that are in the home health care profession and get to hear all about the problems of Medicaid and Medicare.

It is my firm belief that you all have your minds set...and just cannot bring yourselves to voice the opinions you hold deep inside
Closed mind is like a closed house which rots from the inside out.
I have no problem with new ideals or opinions. I have survived too long and been too many different place, not to know that change is good. I may not always be for the best but it is good.

Sean

gots to rid of these fat fingers

We've been over the things that bush could do better in other threads... nobody is trying to keep them under the rug. The fact is that he believes firmly in some of those things so our choice is to put up with them and take advantage of all the other great things he believes in OR we can Vote for Kerry because at some point or another in his political career I'm sure he disagreed with some portion of the things Bush has done wrong.

All this "close minds" and "open minds" is just a bunch of garbage thrown around by people who can't come up with a true down to earth argument to support their views as a whole.

Jane- "Hot dogs are better than prime rib""

JRB- "WTF are you talkin about?"

Jane- "You're so close minded I'm not explaining it"

No credibility in statements like that. Sorry.

At least Moore can make up stuff to support his ideas and he sticks with the anti-american pecemistic viewpoint about 99% of the time instead of flip flopping into conservative territory... it seems you could learn a lot from him.

I am not trying to make myself credible to YOU. And I am NOT saying that Moore is credible. The post was about watching the movie: I am doing so at NO cost out of pocket. Call me a thief.. heh!

I did NOT say anyone talked about *me*. I think that point went flying...but n/m.

Bottom line the thread is about the movie and I have it d/l now at 69%. Watching it will probably make me dislike Moore even more. I do NOT like when people use things out of context the way Rush Limbaugh does. It sticks out like a sore thumb. The DAY I vote based on such bs...as I said..take me out back an put me out of my misery.

Yes...I might sound a bit contradictory to you all...too bad we cannot talk in person. A LOT is lost in online conversations....but I do my best as I am sure others do.

Well, all I can say is this thread has been interesting to read going from a will you watch M Moores film to a real good pissing match. Hey M Moore is just another American trying to make a quick million dollars just like all american buiseness people. I have to agree about meds though as my med bill for my wife is $750.00 a month for my wife to stay alive.Out of my pocket and when I work I make too much money to qualify for any help even when I am not working and draw my unemployement between jobs. It's still to much money. As for seeing M Moores film nope, I figure it would be another lopsided Bowling for Columbine type thing to try and make a few bucks off people. As for politicions all I can say is I have more respect for hookers and dope dealers then politicians as I know where they are comming from and can deal with that.I hope they close this thread after this,go kill a coyote and feel better about life....NVWalt

hope they close this thread after this

????

Why would they do that? In case you've not spent much time in the Church... this is how things go. MOST times thing stay civil but anytime politics is involved you can expect heated debate.

Spend a little time around here and you'll keep up with which characters are serious and which ones are just instigating thought & conversation... plus if we went out and killed a coyote we'd be chastised for summertime hunting!

Oh, and Weed, thats like the second person thats been upset about us skewing off course... you wanna crack the whip? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Who'd of thought the fashion police would show up at a disco like this? hahaha

You are right and I was a little premature on the closing the thread thing. Please accept my apologies on that one. But when it comes to killing summer dogs I get all the chastising I could ever ask for.I can handle them kind of arguments and rise to the occasion. I really need to stay out of politics and religion, even though I am a reverand.Enjoy NVWalt

Its all good Walt, kill em' all and let god sort em' out! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I'm not having any trouble with summertime coyotes right now but still fending off the ferrel dogs! Good huntin'

NVWALT: If you do NOT get my private message, email me at ladyjane107@yahoo.com I have only sent one private message here before and I never heard from the person, so I am not sure I am doing it correctly. I have some very interesting and helpful information for you. Or..you can try to catch up with me on Opennet.

Too bad people think I am clueless...but the only way people will understand what I say is when they put the same shoes on and see it first hand.

Hope your wife is doing ok...that is a shame you have to worry about medications when you work hard. And how asinine that someone on unemployment is not eligible for help...I hope this sinks in with a few people here. All is not as rosy as you think it is. Seems to be the way it is...the people who least need the help always get it.

Heck...I remember going to college with a girl who had a full scholarship. I NEVER figured out how she got it. She was a minority..so maybe that was it..I do not know. I had nothing but loans. She drove a Mercedes. I sold my Mercury Cougar and bought a used Volkswagen bug. *shrug* Just the way things go sometimes. One thing I WILL say though is that she did NOT finish school..and I did. I suppose it says something when you must work for it. But I often think of the money that in my opinion was wasted on her. Most people do not appreciate things that they do not work for.

Jane, I was all ready to call a truece until you popped off with that info about dumping a Ford to get a VW! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif JK

You're story is found everywhere in this country... everyone I know from high school that got a full ride through college has dropped out and is living in their moms basement. (1 Exception being a guy living with his baby's momma's parents) The problem originates there and comes full circle when they become helpless adults looking for a handout. They plague the nation from the uninsured auto accidents through the wasted scholarships through the hoaky SS claims and they raise new ones for the next generation to take care of. Oh well, enough of that, lets get back bashing on you personally Jane. hahaha /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Well OK then. Now there is a perfect model for the essence of the whole problem here. When your given something that somebody else paid for it's often destructive in a society. Look at that, that didn't work out well but it's still OK to give me stuff. It's all about to what degree do we prefer the government act outside the constitution to pay us other peoples money. I get the idea your angry that the government won't take more of others money to pay for your drugs. It would not be the president giving you the money you know if that was his policy. He is taking it from somebody else, with you granting him that power by your vote because you feel you deserve it more than the poor sap who's check got bled. I think you left the basic logic behind all this behind, and just think about yourself and how stuff affects YOU.

hhahha whatever... *I* think that *I* am paying for ridiculous commercials (where they ALMOST cross the line of practicing medicine without a license) and for people who refuse to work to pay for their medicine! And, yes I DO want Bush to pay for my medicine if he wants to take my right away to purchase it where I see fit! So that is MY viewpoint. Cannot help but wonder Weedwacker old you are, how much medicine you take, and HOW you pay for it! If you had a *clue* you would not be yapping the stuff you are. Sorry...but that is how *I* see it. That is not to insult you...only to say that I can tell you do not have ANY idea what is being said. Take a look at NVWalt...he has to pay for that medicine on unemployment or his wife will die...uhhh excuse me, but do YOU know the maximum for unemployment in most states?

I am 35 years old. I don't know how much unemployment is most states. I am self-employed so I have to pay into unemployment, but I am not eligible to collect from it, that money is for other people. I have had many different jobs in three different states and so far have never found it too hard to find one within a month or two. When I buy drugs I pay for them at the pharmacy. When I go to the doctor I write a check. I don't currently have a chronic health condition that has huge costs associated with it so I am able to afford it. If that is your case, I am very sorry, but I resent your implication that I want anybody to die, and feel it's very closed-minded and pompus of you Jane to imply that your problems have earned you the exclusive right to opine. Maybe when I'M old and in crubling health I'll come back here and tell all the young whipersnappers how clueless they are for not being more sympathetic to my painfull existence too. But I doubt it. Hopefully alzheimers will not have kicked in yet and I will still have the mental capacity to follow the debate outside my little window on the world.

AHA..so that gives YOU the right to opine when you freely admit having no knowledge and/or experience? Who better than those of us who have experienced it? Seems you just want to jump on the ladyjane bandwagon with no substantial information backing it. You have bounced around from job to job and accomplished WHAT? You say you are self employed and can buy medications because you do not have chronic problems. Sooo that tells me that you are not planning...hey that is your right..but who is going to pay for you when and if you DO have problems? Do you have a crystal ball that will let you know if/when you might develop one or more health related issues? I hope you do. The people affected on 911 went to work one day and their lives were changed forever. Think about it! And I am not referring to those who died, may they rest in peace. I am referring to the living who still suffer from that day either physically or mentally. Do you think they ALL could afford what happened to them?

My story and why I retired early and am having to pay for medications is of no concern to you (and I surely am not looking for pity especially from someone who has such an attitude..I have TRIED to make people here see the real deal)...but suffice it to say I am NOT old and suffering from Alzheimers. AND I am NOT alone in my position on this issue. Remember..it is a position. I am fortunate enough to be able to pay for my needs(do I think it is reasonable...NO!). I only speak out because so many people are so ill informed about this subject. NOT everyone is able to afford their medications.....and they are NOT protected by this new program (because they supposedly make TOO MUCH money...hahah too much money on unemployment..that is just hilarious..not to mention a disgrace)...that is ALL I have been saying. Every night when you have successfully survived another day in this world without having anything negative happen to you...thank your Heavenly Father. It is not always that way for people. I woke up one day and my life was changed forever...luckily I had an upbringing that educated me to prepare for the unexpected and save for my future. And....someday if you do not plan for your future now..you will be on the list of those that some of us are supporting!
Did *I* say that you wanted a person to die? (I NEVER imply...I spit it right out.) I think not...go back and read what I said. Pompous?? hahah you have the right to think so....I have the right to opine about something that *I* obviously have MUCH more knowledge about. NOW..enough of your big word of the day. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Did I complain about crumbling health uh..or even "crubling"? NO...I simply have stated over and over and over that Bush has NOT fixed the problems with our Medicare and medication system no matter WHAT the majority think. And I am not THAT much older than you my dear. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif And...when you see ME beg for sympathy OR complain about pain..DO BRING IT TO MY ATTENTION. hah! I seriously doubt you will find that...it is not my fashion at all.

Yep...I think you need to step outside of that little world for a while NOW...not when you are aged...might be way too late by then.

Now Now... Boys and Girls, Let's play nicely.

Just a couple of points here.

This thread originally asked wheteher or not people were going to see the cartoon Moore has created. Looks like most aren't.

Secondly, Healthcare. May not be the best solution, but for crying out load, finally somebody did something, may not be the best thing, but something was done. Hillary tried for 8 years and never as much as got a band-aid dispensed. There are a couple of options, come up with a sound solution and get people to endorse it, or if unable to do that, elect someone who can then hold them to it ( a hint here, the ones previously elected to do this, AIN'T DOIN IT ). So there are 2 solutions if this is your personal # 1 item.

For me, protecting this country whether here or abroud is #1 at this time. Far better to be doin the shootin somewhere else than here. When they do get done over there and are bring people and equipment home, they should swing up over Europe and at about France, open the doors and push out any left over ordinance to save fuel, after all the Military should conserve fuel also. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Well now that we've got her talking we've got enough ammo for Jane for MONTHS. I'll leave it to Weed since he put her on the tee.

One Question though, "luckily I had an upbringing that educated me to prepare for the unexpected and save for my future" [/i]

Did anyone teach you about supply and demand or the basics of capitolism? It seems someone spoke to you of some sort of communism where the extremely poor just die off and everyone else recieves needed supplies at government regulated prices. Why does it come as a surprise that our cutting edge technologies and labratories and massive global economy have created high costs medications? I guess you want us to be paying $1.25 for gasoline too even though with inflation adjustments it should be over $2.88! Well wait, we better not get into that... we'd have to hear how horrible an idea ANWAR is but GW hasn't done enough to fix it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Geeze, Bipolar Politics.
