The preset buttons not only will store your favorite sounds, but also your predetermined volume level--for example, preset 1 can be a coaxer at a low volume, preset 2 could be a pup distress at high volume, preset 3 could be your favorite rabbit at 1/2 volume, and preset 4 could be woopecker at 1/4 volume.

The recall button will play the previous sound played.

Also, when you are on a specific sound, you can hit the send button, and that sound will restart at the beginning. When you hit the mute button, the sound will pause, and restart at the point you muted it.

Easily the most advanced remote control in the industry!

These units will come standard with 50 sounds, but can hold up to 200 sounds--no need for additional expensive sound cards!

How much is it going to cost to up grade our FX3 to make it a FX5? is it just a upgraded remote that makes it a FX5?

Thanks
TrapperTodd

trappertodd,

The upgrade cost will simply be the price difference in the 2 units, which will be approx. $200.00, plus freight. The complete FX3 will have to be sent in for the upgrade, as we will need to reprogram the microprocessor, increase the memory, change the keypad on the main unit, and of course, change the transmitter. The upgrades will not be available until approx. Oct. 1.

OK Foxpro, when are you going to quit upgrades and new products so we can just get the top of the line and be done with for a few years /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif? There is no way I can keep up /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif.

"- New rotary sound knob for quick selection of sounds "

I m guessing you turn the knob on top to scroll through the sounds, but how do you send the sounds? How long does it take to scroll through all 200 sounds?

Absolutely awesome Mike! Hat's Off to your company. I had a list of "Man, I wish it would do this..." for the FX3. You guys just answered the list. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Good stuff!

Mike awsome put me on the list. like the remote.look's simple for that many sound's. oct 2 my birthday guess what i'm getting. Rick

DuhMole,

With the rotary selector, you can get through all 200 sounds with one turn of the knob. The sound that you are playing, or selecting will be highlighted (inverted). As you move the knob, the highlighted sound will change. When you get to the top or bottom of the displayed menu, the sound menu will page up 7 sounds, and so on. It is very slick, and easy to use. Then, to send the sound, you simply press down on the knob. It's as simple as that.

Are you anticipating a huge backlog similar to the release of the FX3, or will you be putting units together during the summer for the October release?

Buster,

We are hoping not to have the huge backlog as we did last year with the FX3. We will be manufacturing our units all summer long, and expect to have a large number of units built, including the FX5. You would be amazed at the number of units that we are currently making on a daily basis.

OOHH, my wife is gonna kill me. She about flipped when I told her about the FX3.....I wonder if I should just rat hole some extra money and keep the price differance between us.

That is one nice unit Mike, is the battery life the same as the FX3?

Later,

Scott

3rd Alarm,

Battery life will be just as good as the latest models of the FX3 (which is much better than the early models).

Wow. My 416B is only a little over year old, and it's already 2 generations old? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I think I should get a free FX5 for my pain and suffering here. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Seriously though, I can't see ever wanting an FX5 for myself as I don't think I use much more than half of my 16 sounds now over the course of a week's calling, and the 416B is just so small and handy. But, I could do like that remote!

I think I seen one of these on the Jetson's. They aren't suppose to be out until 2010 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
