Good Trigger Low cost ?

Don't overlook 2-stage triggers... I have four AR's and three of them have the RRA NM triggers with a fourth trigger in the mail. Excellent triggers IMO at a reasonable price. RRA has them on sale right now for $85.00.

There is something to be said for quality rather than skimping and doing a ghetto rigged mod to make something "seem" like a quality piece. I have 3# timneys in 2 AR's, and my 24" 6.5 Grendel has a Geissele SSA-E 2 stage.

Worth every red cent.

I did the 15 minute trigger job on my mil spec trigger because it was so absolutely horrible. I got it down to a nice smooth pull with very much improved creep. But then I experience light primer strikes! So as I'm learning this whole AR thing I have found that this is not the way to go.

Especially considering I just picked up a POF 4.5lb. With KNS pins for $129 shipped!

Put some JP YELLOW springs on that trigger and you will be happy.

I don't think so, it still had more creep than I like. Also I have read too many reports about light primer strikes with those and I don't ever want that to happen to me IF I ever get a coyote to come offer me a crack at him !

if you only put the yellow spring on the trigger and not the hammer, light primer strikes shouldnt be an issue.

if you bob your hammer then you should be able to put the yellow spring on there as well. with the lighter hammer the yellow should be able to build enough inertia for it to not be an issue.

with an unmodified hammer if you stay with the mil spec hammer spring, paired with the yellow on the trigger you should get both a reduction in pull weight along with a nice solid firing pin strike.

That's good to know, I will save my mil spec parts should I need them and maybe try that. But since I found this POF I can't see ever wanting that mil spec again.
