got 5 of them actually. a property owner that allows us to hunt coyotes decided he had enough of the skunks when i told him we counted 13 different skunks one night.
he asked if i could get rid of them, so i tried. i took my suppressed 22 lr with a red light to shoot with but used a thermal scanner to locate them.
i had the 22 mounted on a tripod and got about 20 yards away, did a wind check to make sure if the skunk sprayed it went someplace besides me.
the went pfft, the bullet went WHAP and skunk fell down. the sound of the bullet hitting was actually louder than the gun, i used CCI suppressor 22 lr subsonic HP at 970 fps.
i tried for a chest shot that gives a better chance of them not spraying than a head shot. only two sprayed, the other 3 three leaked a little, the whole place just stunk like skunk.
he told me to leave them lay and he would get rid of them.
Sorry, no photos, not getting any closer than i had to. and of course my truck was parked down wind
