ty I thought about this post recently and order one of those $9 green led light and it is perfect for my shotty
 


So how does this light compare to the Kill Light 250 as far as THROW.If they throw as good think I might want one even though I have the KL 250.

Just ordered one of the "1200 lumen" (prob more like 250 lumen) headlamps off ebay for $30. Comes with charger and batts. Plan on putting red dj gel paper on. Will let you all know how it turns out and when it arrives. Also purchased the shepslight kit, nothing against the xlr-250 but i looked today at boondocks and it was backordered and i didn't want to go straight through Elusive Wildlife. It was time to take initiative since mother nature hasn't blessed us with much snow here in NW OH this season as of yet. Long time reader of these PM forums but decided id finally make an account for a little interaction.
 
The DJ red really kills the light. Pmac has a chart here on another thread. For the DJ stuff yellow is brightest followed by green, then amber, red is the worst. Kills like 80% of the light. Just what I've found with a little testing.
