Hand Primers???

I had tried two different RCBS ones, the univeral one and the one that needed shell holders, had trouble with both and RCBS tried but was unable to resolve the problems.

Now I use a lee ergo primer that works great.

I use my Lee usually. I did a little polishing and smoothed it up some. I have a RCBS but don't use it very often.

I've used the Lee for many years and it works great. Never a problem.

The RCBS looks to be much more sturdy, and more expensive, but I've never used it.

I'm sure any one from the top brands will serve you well.

I have run an RCBS universal for the last few years and the only problem that I had was that I hung it on a hook and hit it with something and broke the part that the primer pan slid into.Bought a second one and have one set up for large primer and one set up for small primers.

I really like the Sinclair Priming Tool, but it is spendy. The LEE sees alot of use on my bench and with 3 shellholders, it will cover 90% of the rifle cartridges out there, and it does it at a very modest price.

I have and use a RCBS that uses shell holders I have had this one for about 18-20 years. The problem with it is if you use shell holders other than the newer RCBS shell holders. I have accumulated all brands of shell holders. I had trouble using the hand primer and called RCBS this is along time ago. They had me send in the older RCBS shell holders and they replaced them with there newer design. Of coarse they didn't replace other brands. The difference is if you look at the bottom of the shell holder they have a large camphor. In a bind I put a larger camphor on a few. Talk about hard material, I ruined some bits figuring it out. But with the correct shell holder there great.
That's my experience, Sparky

Been using the same Lee for 20+years. Never a problem. Although the clear lid is now so loose it'll just fall off. I just put a rubber band around it to hold it on.
