Hit him so hard his eyeball popped out........

Am I the only one who thinks this post is not cool? Look guys, like it or not we have to watch what we post. The pics in this thread are Anti fuel at its best. Yes , it happens. doesn't mean everyone should get to view it. I'm sure the general public would be appalled at some of the comments also. Think before you post!

I would hope there would be more respect for the coyotes.. Even though I'm sure IT didn't care how it got shot.. Maybe I see it different too... I've made some uglys too, but never been humored by em..

When we start playing by the animal rights folks' rules, it's already "game over"because the only hunting rule they have is "NO HUNTING"!!! That is a clean shot & way more HUMANE than what the coyotes & other predators are doing to kids, parents, joggers, hikers, etc!! If they don't want to see "kills" then don't look at hunting sites! When do you think the anti-hunters are going to censor themselves because they don't want to offend hunters??? Grow a backbone!!! Taking my right to hunt(and enjoy it) is the only way they're going to get it, because I sure as h3ll ain't GIVING it to them!! Where are all the distressed anti-hunters when you see VERY GRAPHIC photos on TV of mauled humans who are ALIVE with an eyeball hanging out, or arms torn off, faces gone, etc, etc. I don't recall seeing any of them lined up to lend their support. There is nothing pretty or humane about what predators do!!! Some of you need to hop off your high horse. If some of ya'll are all tore up about this eye-popper then DON'T look at the "ugly coyote" contest photos or you'll pee in your pantys!!!-----Ben Jimmy

Well said, Ben Jimmy!

Great question: When do you think the ant's are going to censor themselves because they don't want to offend hunters??

Answer is never! Us trying to play nice just hurts our hunting 'community' relationships.

(off topic) Going even worse is when hunters go against others hunters categorizing methods of hunting as not really hunting. To me everything is hunting and as long as it's legal and interests you, have at it! Man, I can't wait for October.

I'm not talking about changing Anti's views. It won't happen, just like they won't change ours. The Anti's aren't the ones going to decide if we hunt or not. The hunters aren't going to decide if we hunt or not. Its all the people in between that WILL. Doing stupid s#$% like posting pics and comments offensive to the general public will end it for all of us. They (joe public) don't look at hunting sites. Hunters do, Anti hunters also do. I don't know how many times I have seen bloody, mangled hunting pics, taken directly off one of these forums and portrayed in an unfavorable light on another. It happens. It hurts us. All I'm saying is use your head.

If we all stopped posting pictures right now, this very minute, it won't change the way the anti hunting folks think. Ain't gonna happen. Not today, not tomorrow, not next year, NEVER!

MTG, What is it about this particular photo that is so incredibly offensive to you? Which comment is going to inflame the public? Lots of PEOPLE are walking around a heck of a lot more bug-eyed than this coyote. Who doesn't walk down main street America and see lots of things that are way more offensive than a dead coyote? What do these poor innocents do when they see road-kill? Have they never seen a spaghetti western with people staggering around with an arrow stuck in their tummy? The same goes for war or horror movies. How in the world can this timid public make vampire movies the hottest thing around? This list could go on & on & on..... What I'm saying is this is a site for the people who like to hunt & share their photos and stories with like-minded people. If that offends anyone they shouldn't be on this site. What do you or Joe Public think you're going to see and read here? I'm sorry but the idea that we should be so censored is offensive to me. Please understand that I am not angry or trying to attack you. When it's all said and done the public will make up their own minds & some will support hunting & some won't. The ones that don't will have their own reasons & I don't think anything we do or don't do will make them change their minds any more than I'm going to change mine.-----Ben Jimmy

So you're saying for the sake of argument that I should cover my rifle when walking across a road? How about what to do with a Coyote or Bobcat,Deer that has just been shot by any of us and we have to load it into a truck near a road, Now we have to
wait for traffic to subside so as not to offend bunny huggers
that may be driving by?
And to say I'm not using my head........Take a look around and start listening. It don't matter what we as hunters do,We could
quit hunting all of us right here and now and the anti's would complain just cause they can't complain about hunters anymore.
Look as long as I purchase the license and tags and make an ethical kill and I want to share that here I'm going to.
As hunters, As long as we hunt we will be in unfavorable light.
The thing here is most of us have more respect and a sense of honor than any million anti-hunters.
We need to stand up and make some waves like the anti's do not cower down and hide so we are not looked down on. As long as we don't say anything in our own defense all the public has to go on is the views of the anti-hunters.
All it takes is this little division you created here and look now our own differences are now conflicting....guess what its divide and conquer and you are helping the anti's.... Thank you
How about you hunt and display what you think is politically correct for the anti's and I will do the same, After all last I checked this was still a somewhat free country.
Don't pour sludge down my back cause I posted something you didn't like, you don't have to look maybe you should stick to
Sesame Street...

Just think of all the joy the anti's get out of seeing a response like yours on a hunting site where hunters gather to share our adventures and hunting pictures, you think they won't
see your response and take it and post it on their site as a victory? Why don't you use your head thats all I'm saying....

MTG, I understand what you're saying about the fight being for those that are in the middle/undecided. At some point enough is enough though. We've still got to live.

When I moved back to Montana I was horrified to hear someone on the radio ask hunters to be "respectful" and cover the game in the back of their pickup if they didn't have a canopy. It might be offensive to someone. Dumbest thing I've ever heard. Forget the fact that covering your animal will aid in spoiling and wasting the meat. How about the fact that every real Montanan either hunts or knows somebody that hunts? Outside of the invaders from Californistan, who would possibly be offended?

For the most part everyone that cares has already picked a side. Not to mention that if we behave like we have something to be ashamed of it makes us look guilty of doing something wrong. JMO

Where did I say I was offended by the pic?? Im a hunter and trapper. I see stuff like this, we all do. Where did I say we should be censored for posting pics?? I'm saying we live in a different world than we did 30 years ago. I could take my rifle to school hanging in my gun rack. Today my kids can't even take a pocket knife or they get suspended. Back then my right to hunt and shoot was never questioned, everybody did it. Today it seems there is legislation to outlaw some outdoor pursuit on a daily basis. Why is that? Is it because we as hunters have a bad public image? How did we get that bad image. We are hanging ourself with our own rope.

This is an interesting and thought provoking topic. It reminds me of another debate here in NM. My wife home schools our two children. Many folks that home school their kids probably shouldn't because they don't take it seriously, and I often see them running around town shopping with their kids during the school day. Home school test scores are slipping and I know many older home school kids that are practically illiterate because of negligent parents. Because of all this, many in the public would like to see homeschooling outlawed. Even if their studies are caught up and everything is in order, my wife doesn't leave the house between 8 and 3 because she doesn't want to fuel the anti-homeschooling fire. We have every right under law, at least for now, to raise and educate our children however we see fit. The question is what is the most appropriate conduct to ensure that we don't give unscrupulous politicians a stick to beat us with and take away our freedom through legislation.

Personally, I enjoyed the post and pictures and believe that this is certainly an appropriate forum to view and discuss a great kill. But are there lines somewhere?

I think you're coming from a good place MTG but I just look at it in a different light.

Why is there more legislation to outlaw outdoor pursuits? People are hunting less. Less hunters than 30 years ago. I live in rural Canada and the majority of our hunting/fishing rights are heavily protected by politicians. Why? because a lot of people hunt and fish. Politicians protect the populat vote. I've been super happy to see that we haven't backed down on the seal hunt.

I agree that we should all use our own best judgement when portraying our outdoor interests to the general public. BUT us over worrying about public image will only slow at best these changes in legislation.

We've got to add new hunters and more importantly get along. I've seen hunter/trapper disagreements, rifle/bow " shotgun/rifle ", fur/sport/food/livelyhood " .......... on and on. We should all just be happy that we enjoy the outdoors and leave it at that.
Actually some of these disagreements are worse than the majority of hunter/anti fights I've witnessed.

Just this last year I've decided to stay away from said disageements and support whatever outdoor interest you may have. I'm also gonna try and help as many new hunters get started as I can.

Just how I've decided to see it. Ryan

We ought to send some pics directly to the idiots. What gets on my nerves is hunters bending over backwards to keep from stirring these idiots up. We ought to get a little more stirred up ourselves. I get so sick of everyone walking on eggshells over a group of well known terrorists. Screwem. I swear, every thread on here has some bleedin heart, tryin not to offend these jackassses. Don't give them fuel? You kiddin me? Give them all they want and then some. Let them show all their friends, the stupid politicians, and whoever else they want. If you think that you can be friends with these people, you are bad wrong. They are our worst enemies and they are very public with their screwed up views. Every dog gone day, every dog gone hour, everyone is making fools of themselves trying not to offend queers, muslems, animal rights nuts, etc, etc, etc... And dam if we're not changing our views and lifestyles to accomidate their wants. Screw that! I couldn't give 1 crap if they use this picture, this tread, or whatever else they want. I hope they sit and cry all night over this coyote's eyeballs all bugged out! I promise ya, he didn't feel a thing!

Ben Jimmy and ARDave, great posts...Unfortunately we do have people here at Predator Masters that dont know what team to play for...Either you play for us or you play for them and NO, you cant be luke warm about it....I have argued this here for years...Its good to have you guys here and thanks for supporting our passion and not being ashamed of it...

"Divide et Impera," or "Divide and Conquer."

That is the real strategy the antis use to accomplish their goal and we all know what that goal is.

While I believe it's everyones right to express their opinion I also believe WE need to stick together to preserve those rights and our common pursuits. Infighting only contributes to their (the antis) cause.

My 2 cents says let this rest and move on, but that's me.
Outta here!

Try this on for size: If you happen to hear a debate on any topic under the sun, what do you base your opinion or vote on? Is it the opponent that trys to please everybody, makes no real stand one way or the other, back-pedals, hims & haws, can't make a definitive case based on what he believes, etc? Or, do you find the opponent who stands firm on what he believes, makes no excuses or apologies, does not try nor expect to please the opposition, but always, ALWAYS, ALL WAYS stands up PROUDLY for his beliefs, to be the most effective opponent? My simple point is, if we don't defend ourselves & our rights until the bloody end.....WHO WILL?

Could it be that anti-hunters are gaining ground not because of what we do, but because of what we don't do? Are we losing the great debate because we no longer have the plain old-fashioned grit & single-minded determination to defend our rights against anyone & everyone who dares to try to take them from us?!!! Stop puckering up, instead put your boots back on and use them !!!!-----Ben Jimmy

With all due respects ( or not ) I think you're just stirring the pot.
Insults and innuendos duly noted. Stir away.
