Hit him so hard his eyeball popped out........

This is just to clarify. I personally do not feel that exchanging views is necessarily a fight. I like to hear other folks' views. If you make valid points or show me something new, who knows I may agree. If things get a little heated it just tells me you feel strongly about what you believe & while I may or may not agree I do support your right to be wrong!!I'm just having a little fun and hope ya'll are too!-----Ben Jimmy

It's all good.
Just to be clear I've never been real good at taking a shot without givin one back. Whether we agree or disagree on a subject isn't really important even if you are wrong. LOL. In the end we're all on the same side........, to keep our sport and hunting heritage alive.
We just have different perspectives is all. If we all agreed with each other we'd be like Obama and his cronies. Hmmm, come to think of it maybe that wouldn't be so bad. I mean then we could all quit our job, hunt all the time and just let the govt. take care of us. But then who would they tax?
Have a good night.

John

How come all my Obama bashing doesn't get any folks all riled up? I remember now. It's because I live in Massachusetts, only 2nd to California for the most bleeding heart liberals all living in one place.

Well dang it, it looks like I've done it again! Coloradobob, I guess we were typing at the same time. I thought my last post would be next to my other one. I didn't know you had posted until I hit submit. Folks in the south sometimes come off sounding like they mean one thing when it's just the opposite. It seems that we say "you" when we mean "all of us" or "anybody" etc. I meant that all of us (hunters) shouldn't have to be ashamed of our sport & that if we become as vocal as the opposition maybe we will get our voice back in Washington. Long & short is I wasn't singling anyone out in that particular post. The next time I will try harder to loose the southern accent. Ya'll may also notice that I don't use the new computer abbreviations. It's because I don't know what they all mean & I might really get-a-hitch-in-my-get-along trying to use them. Hope we're all squared away.-----Ben Jimmy

It's all good my friend. And my given name is John. But I answer to Bob, Colorado, and something my wife calls me on occasion. That one you can more than likely figure out so I won't post it. It would only show up as a [beeep] anyway. Funny, but when my wife yells [beeep] both me and the dog look to see who should get out of the way. Most of the time we both beat feet, that way at least one of us is safe............, well all except for that one time, but that's another story.

Are you saying I'm on the wrong side? I've bought a hunting license since I was old enough every year whether i used it or not. I voted pro gun in every election since I was 18 that includes all city and county elections. Im an active member of the NRA. I volunteered to teach or assist in the hunters ed and bowhunter safety for the last 3 years. you're telling me I am on the wrong side???? What are you guys doing to help our fight? Let me try to explain this once more. If you read my posts from earlier I said you will never change the Antis mind. I'm not trying to do that. I don't give a [beeep] what they think. Its the other 98% of the population i do care about. They will decide if we hunt or own guns at all. Case in point....You think the 2nd ammendmant gives us the right to own guns. Tell that to the people in Chicago. They can no longer defend themselves (legally) by owning and using a gun. Who do you think dedided that for them? It sure as [beeep] wasn't the gun owners was it.It wasn't the Anti's either. It was all the people in between who the Anti's convinced with their propoganda. If you think for one minute you can do whatever you want just because its your right you might as well hand over your hunting rights now. I for one plan to do everything I can to preserve my heritage for me and my kids. All I'm saying is to be smart. Use your head. Don't make it easy for them. Is that so hard to understand?

MTG,I both understand & respect what you are saying. But, you say the voting public is being convinced to vote for more & more gun control. You use Chicago as an example of people who have voted their rights away because of "Anti's propaganda". I don't think backing down or whispering in the dark is an effective answer to aggressive opposition. For one thing, I think most people who vote for gun control are not voting against hunters, but instead are voting against crime. Yes, I know that in the end if there is enough gun control hunters will lose their guns the same as the criminal. Maybe we need to be just as vocal as the anti's are & educate the voting public with the facts and figures to seperate ourselves from the criminals. That may start to get easier to do as more & more people are attacked by animals who are making their presence known & felt. When scratches, bites & even deaths happen, who does the public call on? Hunters & trappers!!! They don't seem to care how these animals are killed, they just want them gone as fast as possible, and by whatever means necessary!!The public is beginning to remember why people hunt & own guns. If jokes & photos were all it took to hurt anything there wouldn't be a lawyer, a blond, or a politician in the country! If we fight back hard enough, maybe the folks in Chicago will vote to regain their rights. I hope so.-----Ben Jimmy

Yeah Ben, our personalities are very different from people in most other places. It's easy for folks from other places to take us wrong.

Ben, how long do you think a animal rights nut would last if he was your neighbor? I know he would be miserable around here.

Dave, 2 seconds would be too long! I'm sure they'd just love me, cause you know I'd let them listen to all my best calls. Let them pose with my hunting dogs for their Christmas card photo. My kids won't charge more than a dollar for each pesky squirrel they kill for them. Just to be nice I might even model my new camouflage. How could anybody resist all that charm?

That was a great shot on the yote. I wonder if a coyote bit Ingrid Newkirk on the azz and got lockjaw if she would let me pop it...LMAO.

Got my second heaviest coyote (41#) with a shot like that, watched him runnung straight towards me for a third of a mile, tried to time my shot for when he was at the top of his stride and take him in the chest, I was a little off, got him dead centre between the eyes instead.
Popped his eyes but the force also blew off his bottom jaw, my pictues aren't as pretty as yours.

Bluebunny, Sounds like a great shot to me! The power of the bullet in a head shot has gotta' go somewhere. The good thing about a shot that only makes the eyes bulge & has a small entry hole & no exit is great if you get it mounted. You have a lot more pose options if the taxidermist hasn't got a large exit hole to have to work around. A coyote with a heavy winter coat makes a very nice mount! Bobcats do too! This is making my trigger finger itch just thinking about it!!!-----Ben Jimmy

When do you think the anti-hunters are going to censor themselves because they don't want to offend hunters??? Grow a backbone!!! Taking my right to hunt(and enjoy it) is the only way they're going to get it, because I sure as h3ll ain't GIVING it to them!! Where are all the distressed anti-hunters when you see VERY GRAPHIC photos on TV of mauled humans who are ALIVE with an eyeball hanging out, or arms torn off, faces gone, etc, etc. I don't recall seeing any of them lined up to lend their support. There is nothing pretty or humane about what predators do!!! Some of you need to hop off your high horse. If some of ya'll are all tore up about this eye-popper then DON'T look at the "ugly coyote" contest photos or you'll pee in your pantys!!!-----Ben Jimmy
