Hold on to your cash!! Foxpros replacements for the Firestorm and the Fury?

I got to get out this weekend with my new Shockwave, and i must say i LOVE it the foxmotion is a sweet option. as far a the volume of the call i thought it was more than loud enough. I liked the feel of the TX500 better in my hand, but the TX1000 is far ahead of any other remote i have used, much easyer to operate. Now if i will stop reaching on top of the call feeling for the Knob that isen't there. Thanks Brian

The protective film wasn't on it,if I put my thumb on the screen it pushed in and changed colors. I guess cheap was not the right description.It definitely has a lot of upgraded features and is easier to read at night,but it doesn't have the strudy feel like the TX505. Could be I'm not ready to give up my Fury yet.....

When I first started farming, and would get into a discussion of what was the best brand of equipment, or new versus used, I'll never forget what an old farmer told me....corn will grow just as good behind an old tractor was it will a new one. That same logic applies to ecallers as well. I will guarantee you that you do not have to use a new FoxPro (or any other brand) in order to call in a predator. That Fury or Fury 2, or for that matter an FX3, that some of us own, will do just as job of calling in a coyote as will a brand new call that's just being released. There are many more factors that are more important to the success of a hunt than the age of you caller.

You are 1000% correct but that goes for may things. I have friends who buy the newest bow every year. Why?? Just because its the latest and greatest. Most items like this are purchased because we want them. Not because we need them. the need to have the latest and greatest is what fuels businesses.

You are right, and I am guilty of wanting to buy the latest things as well. But, you won't find me posting on this site about upset I am that I just bought the latest caller and now something new has come along.
 
I was not overly impressed with the volume of the Shockwave compared to my firestorm, but at the same time being able to point the sound in multiple directions is a big enough advantage. It is louder than most realize too. Most of the time the sound is pointed away from us. It still amazes me how far away coyotes and dogs will respond to the sound of the caller. I have really started to call at much lower volumes and usually don't have the volume over 75% unless I am howling, or the wind is. As far as the remote, I have all the confidence when I set the caller out to 100 yards that it will work. With the firestorm, not so much, unless the conditions were ideal. It is so much easier to use and read also.
 
The Shockwave has a stereo amplifier and is feeding two channels of two speakers each. It has to be a good deal louder than the Firestorm. That being said, either one is plenty loud enough to call predators.
 
I find the shockwave more than loud enough for my needs. I originally WS going the Fury 2 route with external speaker. But that setup was going to weight more and be more cumbersome to carry. I am very happy with the size and function of my Shockwave. I carry everything in an Avery Finisher Blind bag. The fit is perfect and carries all my call needs.
