How about some reloading Bench Photos

Jerry

I gutted the Coke machine out and I use it for storage. My brother works for coke and it was pretty easy to get a machine.

Ok, here is a pic of the table I am building and talked about in my previous post. Not as fancy as the others, but you have to start somewhere. Still looking for advise on where best to mount my Rockchucker and Lee single stage presses. Starting out, I will only be reloading 223 and will purchase other dies for some of my other rifles in the near future.

Thanks again for any input.
Tony

My advice is to mount them off the ends, because if you need to put a lot of force into the handle, it won't try to tip your bench over. I tried it out the front originally and didn't like it.
And your bench is plenty "fancy", that's not going to flex. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I would suggest a 3/4" plywood "doubler" under the press to spread the pressure out. Look at what I did above, I learned that trick the hard way. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

This is made with an 8 foot countertop on a 2x4 frame that extends the rear legs up to the top of the back panel. You can use 1/4 in pegboard or plywood for the back panel above the backsplash. All the shelves are pre-painted from the building supply. It is all lagged to the back wall and it is quake-proof solid. I added a drawing for reference. I got just about all the materials on sale for $72 total, including paint and hardware. I have 2 big wall-mounted storage cabinets on the opposite wall for misc componets, brass, etc.

Hey Tony. You might want to mount your press to a 2x6 about 12" long or longer and then C clamp it to you bench in various places until you find a good location that suits you. The bench looks great and sturdy. Also if you want to mount the press out the front and are afraid you might tip the bench over, screw it to a couple of studs in the wall. Good Luck!

I do a volume, loading for my self and my son. Need to update photos to show the AutoMate for the 9000's nifty little add on!

A little personal touch for drawer pulls.

Not too neat, but it turns out a heck of a production.

I just moved into my new place. I have a little over 1/2 of my equipment set up so far. I moved my casting table out to the garage. Too much smoke--don't ya know. Tom.

You folks are forcing me to clean my benches for photo's! Metallic reloading on one side, shot gun on the other. Inert components are kept in the filing cabinets.

Powder is kept in a separate location and so is loaded ammo.
