No offense at all. I was just asking. I don't know where to get information like that unless I ask. I wish I could find a website where old guys can discuss what changes take place when you get older.

All this USPS bashing is really offending me.....Keep it up and you will make me live up to my Psych Evaluation /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif. So lets change the subject.

Does any one know how to spell Chlamydia(sp?) I have to look something up on "ask a a doctor . com"

I don't even think a FoxPro thread has generated this kind of attention.

Chlamydia.

And if MidwayUSA has it on sale, you DON'T want any:

-

Chlamydia trachomatis is the bacterium that causes Chlamydia which is a common sexually transmitted disease (STD).

Been ordering from Midway for 30 years. Never had them send me the wrong product. Never had them refuse to take ANYTHING back for ANY reason for a refund. The folks at Midway will go out of the way to make sure that you are a happy, returning customer - something that very few companies care about these days. I just got an email last week offering me a 20% discount on my next order - some kind of spring sale offer. So, I got $60 off of a $300 order.

A note about shipping:
IN MY OPINION, UPS Ground is the slowest way to send anything anywhere. You're lookin' at 7 - 10 days. When I order from Midway, I choose the USPS PRiority Mail option. Most times, it's here when I get home from work on the third day.

Anyway, I'll have a side of Charlies Angels with that order /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Most all my reloading stuff came from Midway. Lots of orders and 0 issues /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Randy, what ever you do, don't go out and mow the lawn again!

First point:

I don't purchase any real volume from Midway anymore, but over the years have placed countless orders with them. I can only recall having one problem. I ordered a 6.5-20 Nikon Monarch scope and when I received it, the cross-hairs were just that, "fine" and not the duplex that the ad had stated. The scope was advertised as a "special purchase" and ALL of them had the same "fine" cross-hairs.

Basically, they told me they would do whatever I wanted. I could: 1) send it back for a full refund, and they would pay to ship it back. 2) They would pay to ship it back and they would give me a "sweet-heart deal" on any other scope I wanted. 3) They would pay for me to send it back, and they would have whatever reticle I wanted installed in the scope at no charge!

I chose door #3, sent the scope off and had mil-dot reticles installed. When I received the scope, it was packed with a $20.00 gift-card to Midway and an apology. In my opinion, it just doesn't get any better than that!

Second point:

Starting back about 5 or 6 years ago, I found that my electronics business generated lots of "surplus". This surplus, mostly industrial instrumentation and control, had no value to anyone in our small town, but, with a little search on e-bay, I found that it had great interest around the country. I started listing and selling this surplus on e-bay and quickly found that I needed a full-time person helping me. I hired a person just to pack and ship all of the items I was selling. The shipping was split between UPS and USPS priority mail. We shipped THOUSANDS of packages by both carriers. In all those thousands of packages, UPS delivered one item to the wrong address that they never got back, and destroyed two others. In all three cases, I was reimbursed fully. The US mail (priority mail) never failed us once. I still use both carriers every day, and where I rarely ship a "high value" package via priority mail, I have yet to have them fail me. Both UPS and USPS, in my opinion, have top-notch service.

Lee,

I live in a medium sized town of about 13,000 people. I called my insurance agent to make a change on my policy. They said they would mail me a form to make the change, sign it and send it back to them. Well, to make a long story short, it took 15 days for that letter to go about a mile across town. Somtimes --it happens.

Dave

By the way I hate the USPS for several reasons that I won't go into right now. BUT, they do have one thing that is really GOOD. That is Priority Mail. It is so fast and cheap, I can't believe it. Coincidentally, I've heard that they hand it off to another shipping company for everything but the pickup and delivery.

I couldn't stay away either when the place of employment is attacked(my wife, usps)I have noticed as well that the poster has had a multitude of issues in the past and I have tryed to give honest hopefully helpfull opinons concerning his current dilemna but the volume of problems have caused me to ignore some of them reminds me of the old fable bout a boy sheephearder and a wolf

Oh that's the truth....... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I can only relate my personal experience with Midway. But, I have had excellent service on many orders over the past two or three years, and I have been extremely happy with ship times, etc. The only issue I had was a couple of months ago and it was when I ordered an new 4200 Elite tac scope. When I ordered they we out of stock, but had an instock date posted. That date came and went with no scopes. I contacted Midway's customer service via email and told them I was not happy, that the scope I was waiting on was the last piece of a rifle build and I was going to be dead in the water until it arrived. I got an email back from Larry Potterfield himself. He explained that Bushnell gave them the date and that they delayed the delivery. He explained he was very sorry, thanked me for my business, and assured me that he would do everything possible to get the scope to me as soon as possible. Well, long story short, I got the scope four days latter. I also got a followup email from Larry asking if everything was OK and if I needed any more assistance. Did Larry do something to speed things up and get me my scope? I don't know. But I sure was happy. And I don't know about you guys, but in my book that is darn good customer service. That's probably more that two cents worth, but I just felt like it needed to said.

I don't think any of the PM sponsors want this type of attention. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I would have to go with Mary Ann. But I would be thinking about Mrs. Howell the whole time (38 to 57 seconds). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

I receive packages from midway several time a week and have never had a problem at all with them. Occasionally items will be backordered but thats understandable.

Items could be on backorder, and you KNOW it ahead of time....not always the case with some of the other companies out there.

I have not had a single problem with Midway.....trouble seems to follow certain people. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Thats easy .............. both /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif

But Midway has got my orders out pronto, and accurately too. Comfirmation email, survey, etc.

Specify the shipping, you choose as they give you a choice.

Good outfit.

Are they the new ones on Baywatch?

I can't answer that 'cuz I switched from Baywatch to Baywatch Nights. It's colder at night.

I think we should discuss a real predator hunter's disease: Enterobius vermicularis......so much for sittin' stll!

Everything that can be said, has been said. I was given a box of "Golden Padlocks" when I took on this position. To date I have never used one ( that I can remember). I think this one is history. Lets move on.
