I have ordered from Midway dozens and dozens of times, never with a problem. I live only an hour away, so I occassionally pick up orders in person. Place the order on the computer, wait four hours, and pick it up - never a problem yet.

As far as Larry Potterfield's active involvement in the company - word around here is that he is extremely active all aspects of his company. I used to go to his tiny shop at Midway, MO when he first started, have talked with him at social events, shot with him once, and hunted quail with him on another occassion. He may not even remember me, but I remember him. He is a first-rate person and a top-notch businessman. Mr. Potterfield and his company have contributed considerable resources to our sport - much of it through very significant contributions to the NRA. No company is perfect, but both Midway and it's owner are a very positive force in the shooting community.

Well all I can say is my fellow staff members GC and Rajn are very easy going, but I wouldn't keep pushing and pokin the gorilla to much longer.....Nuff said.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've been mail ordering from Midway and several others for over 20 years, I can count all their mistakes on one hand, and I've bet I've spent well over 10k in all those orders.

It happens, such as life. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

But Mr. Potterfield and his company has done so much for us the shooter and outdoorsman, who can argue with his achievments and support for us. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Good service here in Okla. Got no problems with people who wear glasses as I just cleaned mine before logging on.

i was mad at midway because they shipped an exspensive item without a tracking number. thats not good business in my book. lee

Total MidwayUSA Customer Contributions Since its Inception in January 1, 1992: $3,974,871.62.

I just ordered a Chip McCormick trigger from them.

(I didn't use spell check when I posted this )

Yep, I like Midway. Only problem I ever had was actually my fault.

I normally use other suppliers because they are usually cheaper.

Midway is a good company, unusual post here.

Lee, I don't "have a horse in this race", but when you place an order with Midway using the internet, doesn't it give you options on shipping? Specifically...doesn't it allow you to chose either UPS or USPS? If I read it correctly, you are looking for a USPS shipment and can't track it? If so...you've just learned a valuable lesson about USPS! I would never, EVER allow anyone to ship something to me using USPS fpr the very reasons that you are upset. They are SLOW, you can't track a package, and it might end in BubbleFrick Egypt before it's all said and done.

If my "assumptions" above are correct, I would strongly suggest that you ask for, and DEMAND anyone else except USPS in the future...no matter who the company is that you're doing business with. USPS stinks when it comes to package delivery and service.

You need to tell them when you want UPS - otherwise, they ship it the cheapest or most convenient way - which sometimes is USPS.

I've ordered 3 times from Midway. The 1st two times I was dissapointed with the shipping costs. For one of the orders it cost me over $9 in shipping for two small items that totalled about $31.

But then the more I got to looking at Midways selection the more I realize they carry just about anything you can think of related to shooting. I figured if I bought more from them, I could save money on shipping. So on my last order I waited till my list grew a little larger and ordered several items all at once.

I ordered $265.81 worth of merchandise (9 different items) that came in 3 packages. The shipping cost on this order was $17.54 which is 6.5% of the cost of the order. I ordered my stuff on a Tuesday afternoon (before their shipping deadline) and my stuff was on my Porch on Thursday afternoon. That is the fastest internet order I've ever experienced, and I order stuff online all the time. Most companies take a day or two to get the order together before they even ship it. That same day shipping is huge!

And by the way everthing I ordered was perfect. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

You know Mary Ann got busted with pot! Midway's alright even if they don't have the .223 brass I want
