I really need help with 22-250 case length

I guess that I really screwed up I used an old metal gauge that was given to me by an old reloader and it has a space for all different calibers to fit though. It did not have a 22-250 on it but it had a 22 varmint that he said was the wild cat name for the 22-250. Any way I trimmed the 250 cases so they would easily fit through the gauge. When I checked the book the trim length was quite a bit longer than what I had the cases trimmed to.

The book says to trim to 1.912 the cased are trimmed to from 1.882 to 1.884 .

1 If I load these cases and use them will I hurt my Tieka?

2 Will I lose accuracy by using this short brass?

I sure would appreciate any help that you can give me

Thank you guys for all your help Jim

as jack said, you're fine. with the way the 22-250 stretches brass in 3-4 firings you'll have your length back [insert joke here]. i trim 22-250 brass to 1.905 cuz i get sick of trimming it so often.

You will be fine. Check out the Sinclair case length die, it has replaced the micrometer for me when checking the length of the brass. The die is made so you just insert your unloaded brass one at a time into it. When you seat the bottom of the brass, the neck end will be at the other end of the die. There is a small cut in the die which gives you the minimum length of the brass. If the neck extends above the maximum setting, simply set it to the side to be trimmed. Finish up with all of your brass and trim the ones that need it. Very fast. Sinclair's die is like a closed rifle chamber, any brass that fits in it easily should fit your rifle chamber without difficulty. I have one for each caliber I reload for and have done that for years. My 243's and 22-250's which are notorious for lenghtening upon firing are all checked after resizing and I haven;'t had a problem yet.
