If you have 3k-4k to spend on AR what would you get?

There are so many options, while the limited edition dpms that is for sale is attractive looking and such.. the thing that kills me is that they don't offer an accuracy guarantee and such. I want something worth spending some mulah on.. I have the JP Enterprise .308 in my sights.. and their .223 is super awesome love the side charging handle and muzzle break that they offer.. what would you do?

Thanks,

Juan

I would go with a Specialized Dynamics by Scott. Scott is a really nice guy had a chance to meet him at the PM hunt in Curces. He has a cool looking side charger, and from the last couple of posts, his guns produce some awsome groups (5 shot) clover leafs. Cant wait to get mine. Send him a PM he'll get back to you pretty quick.

If I could afford that kind of money for a firearm, the first thing I'd get would be a new truck to haul it in...

Seriously, I would be researching for one that gives me the best accuracy guarantee....regardless of caliber.. and an optic to match..

Yep, me too. Any good quality lower with a nice match trigger and you'll be shooting bugholes (and have a bunch of cash left over).
If I was looking for an off-the-shelf shooter, I'd go with this one:

UM-1 - Ultramatch

Oh, I agree 100%. I wouldn't want to carry that bull barrel too far hunting, but it's deadly accurate for the price. I'm not sure what he's wanting to use it for.
If it's for P-dogs and paper punching, it's a pretty nice setup. Those Oly SUM barrels are pretty much guaranteed sub-MOA at a reasonable price, but they're around 4 pounds.
Les Baer makes an AR that's guaranteed 1/2 M.O.A., but the price is somewhat insane (in my opinion), and it's no lightweight either.

I agree with the previous posts, that you don't need to spend that much to get a good shooter, BUT!, if the money is just burning hole on your pocket you could look at one of these and still have enough to to put a good Nightforce on it and that should get to $4 grand.

I will admit I am not a huge fan of the piston system, yet.

Golly it's fun to help other people spend their money

PS I would like to know how you guys post a link but give a name. For example instead of seeing the link, you would see Barrett REC7, and click on it.
Thanks
Aaron

tacticalrifles.net offers a guarantee on their guns. I've shot one of their guns and they are nice!

while not as expensive as you're top end price, white oak armament does a great job. he wont advertise a group guarantee because he says most people cant shoot under half inch groups. he told me that he will guarantee that i was happy or he'd make it right. never had to call him again. mine has shot a couple 1/4" groups at 100 yds with factory ammo. i'm not a big paper puncher but that's all i need to have confidence on an animal.

Instead of using "quick reply" use the "switch to full reply screen"
click the link button

and put in the link to whatever page you want.
then click Next. and type in whatever words you want the link to represent.

I would have to say an 18" SS Noveske or start with a Centurian Arms 18" SS upper and build the lower exactly how you want.
