I'm getting a custom AR!

For me, I am interested in a collapsible stock as there would be more than one person shooting the rifle for the videos. An adjustable stock would be nice, so that it can be fit to more than one person, depending on who the shooter is. If you and Tim would be using the same gun at times, and find that your not comfortable with the same eye reliefs, the adjustable stock could be of importance.

Mike Milli thank you for the info, Mike D or Mike M so does the PRS qualify as collapsible or adjustable enough to let us both shoot it? Excuse my ignorance this is all new to me. If it doesn't fit the bill it looks like I can save some money and weight by going with something else. The PRS is the most expensive I believe.
 
The PRS is adjustable, but will, for the most part, allow you to make it longer, not shorter. The PRS adjusted as short as it will go, at best, would be 1/2" shorter than an A2.

I couldn't resit! HA! I really like my Ace stock. When on the stand with the forearm in the sticks the stock stays in my shoulder pocket due to the recoil pad made of rubber. With the light weight barrel set up I have balance is a dream. I aggree that with the setup you are looking at balancing could be a problem but if you on sticks it may be minimal. Cant wait to see your build!

I never thought about the butt stock being made of rubber. I should have shouldered yours the last time. Now, I am thinking that I will really like it. As I mentioned earlier, I was concerned about the lighter rear end, but didn't think about the rubber as an anchor. Thanks for sharing, Rod.
Now, just because you get a double on cats, and haven't called me with any misses, doesn't mean you can dig on me about RockBand (afterall, it's good wife time). Well, ok, maybe it does.

Yeah, I forgot about that. I still think I have suffered some permanent hearing loss out of that ear. Just kidding. Man, that 16 inch rifle was definitely loud!

Thanks for sharing the info. As I have a lower to build an upper on now, I will continue to proceed in getting my own made. Danny is certainly a great guy to support.
 
Mike I would look really close at that 22-inch barrel being talked about. That length is my favorite are it balances very well. If you need to slow your load down, move to a heavier bullet or less powder if you load your own. On the stock, my thoughts would be to try a sample of all the stocks and see what fits your preference and needs the best and go from there. I have them all and usually just shoot the std A2. Colasp is a better option for adjustment to fit different shooters. It also works for heavy or light clothing.

Don't worry about the stock fit, I carried a GI issue M4 for years in the desert and never wished for different components. Last tour I ditched my Acog for a Mark 4 3x9 and just used a velcro strip attached to my M4 stock to attach a pad from my MICH helmut for a cheek weld.
 
Maybe I need to get ROCK BAND to spark things up alittle with my old lady. Got any suggestions for a wig. You know I want to go all out. Big hair 80's stuff and all. David Lee Roth Style!

Geisselle and Millazzo are the best two stage triggers you will ever see for the AR. They make the Jewell seem like an 870 trigger. Geisselle is probably the best today, and Millazzo's are still hard to get. These are match triggers, though, and I am not sure you need one for a coyote rig. I have a Jewell and a Geisselle on my match rifles, but I am going to try the single stage Timney on my latest coyote rig build, if it ever comes. Looking at the end of March right now according to Midway. A tuned Rock River is tops for the money. Less than a Jewell, but almost as good.

I also like the Ace Stock, In fact I prefer it over the A2 and the collapsible. I am sure that you will be more than happy with what Danny builds you as he is all about customer service. Some of these guys have thrown out some good information to look at. I personally like the lower you are using, it has a certain pizzaz about it

For an adjustable AR stock I really like my Magpul 93B, bottom rifle, it is a very sturdy and quiet stock. The PRS on top is nice to look at but is not very practical on an AR in my opinion. The adjustable comb is a waste because the AR stock is paralell with the bore. Also when shooting from bags you can't just slide rifle fore or aft for quick elavation changes, a PITA when your on a crowded dog town and you need to make adjustments.
The A2 stock works great for me in most instances, light weight and works well from a bench if you remove the fixed sling loop and install a Burnsed loop from Daniel Defense.(middle rifle)
