Iranian Uprising

crapshoot, you may be impacted by the shutdowns in CA. Those have nothing to do with Iran & have no impact on us in the SE states. But it does impact western ones, I know AZ is hard hit from them

Probably right. All i do know is that prices here WERE manageable and mostly stable till all this started in Iran and has steadily increased.
Glad im not a trucker... especially in the west. Price of fuel goes up, so does the cost of everything they are hauling.

While tax does play a roll in the overall cost, it isn't the reason for the almost daily increase of price payed at the pump.
I know someone that delivers fuel in Michigan. He fueled his personal diesel at the terminal the other day. He got 19 GAL. was around $87 total. $10 of that was MI excise tax, another $5 was some other taxes, then sales tax. The total without taxes was $60 some bucks.

The gasoline pipeline that runs from NC to Texas is shutdown, a work crew poked a hole in it yesterday. The BP refinery in Whiting, IN has reduced production due to striking workers. The fuel at the beginning of last month was being gouged, none of that had anything to do with the war and other BS going on..

IDK what the issue is in Houston, but yesterday Shell was $4.28 for regular. BI it was around $3.69 & Texas International Terminals 45,000 b/cd refinery in Galveston is the largest refinery in the US. It's amazing that gasoline/fuel jumped immediately at the very threat of hostilities in Iran and I predict it will drop off very slowly long after the straight is open (probably after November :( ). Seems like a lot more than supply and demand at work to me.

If you a common Man can come to this conclusion.
I wonder why the intellectuals whom have all this vast knowledge supposedly. Can't come to this?
And they wonder why we as common people scoff and dismiss their sayings, and reasoning.
