It’s kind of sad when we reach the point where this becomes how we judge leadership. A president should be measured by what they’re doing now — not by constantly comparing them to the person who lost.
It’s like walking into a room with a handful of shit and saying, “look what I almost stepped in.”
At some point you realize that thinking like that lowers your standards so much, you stop demanding better and start excusing whatever’s in your hand just because the pile on the floor looks worse.
