Sportsmans isn't owned by Bass Pro. I know for a 100% fact. I work at the one here in South Dakota. It's privately owned by Stu Uutgard. The chain started as a mom-pop shop out of Utah and has grown from that.
They're not going out of business either, we just can't get anything in stock. With the price of Copper through the roof the price of brass/bullets has gone through the roof and we can't keep anything in stock. Winchester is no longer producing 223 White box ammo which puts the hurt on other providers. Rumor has it Black Hills recently acquired a military contract so if you see any Black hills available grab it while you can as it's going to be in extremely short supply.

Rock river and many of the other big AR dealers have now bumped delivery dates out to nearly 120 days from the huge increase in orders they've been seeing.
