It is comments like these, plus my wife encouraging me, that have cost me dearly! My new 4 door Jeep Rubicon is on its way. Special ordered it to have 4.10 gearing from the factory & it will come with dual tops. Already have purchased a BDS 3" lift for it & some 35" Nitto Trail Grappler tires on some Xd Series Addict wheels. As soon as they unload it off the truck it will receive the swap out. Can't friggin wait!

Pics to come when I get it home, but it will be weeks away yet.

WOW!! If you're gonna go, might as well go all the way eh.

Excellent decision going with the lower gears. Sounds like it will be a nice rig! Looking forward to some pics.

Here is mine. It is an 89 Cherokee that has pretty much everything under the hood new as well as the brake system and fuel system. Do have a problem with a hard brake pedal and cant figure it out.

You want it really cool look at the Hemi up grade it is just another $10,000 to get a hemi V8... Or find a special order and get one of the Deisel engines they are putting in jeeps.

It is cool. If you ever get towards moab look me up. I am only 2 hours away and spend weeks there each year wheeling...

Yeah doggin, I possibly went over the top on this one but like I said ... I got lots of encouragement from my better half. She really has liked those 4 doors for quite a long time. I think we are really going to enjoy it. Especially since we rode motorcycles for years and have now gotten away from that. Jeepin' will be FUN!!!

As far as going with the lower gears, it was a $190 option, that just seemed like a no brainer to me. I did not opt for the navigation system(to dang expensive) nor did I get leather interior or dual climate controls for the ac/heat. I did go with the automatic transmission. Should be a great setup & since it won't be a daily driver it should last us a looooooong time!

Take the top off, and put your helmets on, be just like biking, 'cept your backside won't tingle for 2 days from the vibration!

Hey Rocky, that nicely redone CJ7 I spoke to you about sold before I got the chance to ever go look at it. I knew it was going to sell fast. We looked at several used 2 door Rubicons but I could tell the wife was not digging them like I was. Overall, I think we will be glad of the decisions we made. If momma is happy ... everybody is happy!!!

Jeep deals are hard to figure... Keep your eyes open for an old CJ or TJ that needs a little fixin Ricky; take your time and make it right. Or, butcher it and turn it into a mud toy. You can usually find them pretty cheap if you keep an eye out for them. Tell the wife it'll save wear and tear on her jeep. She'll be happier yet!

Nothing fancy but it works good for hunting.I built the front and back bumpers my self had some one bend the pipe for me.

Oh no Rocky ... the Jeep is going to be all mine! She has her new Hemi powered Charger we bought last year for her. Of course that is her daily driver, but still it is one sweet ride.

If she has a hemi-powered car then you should have one too... The new jeeps with the hemi are awesome but $$$...

Jeep has a pretty cool system that they call the VOTS(Vehicle Order Tracking System). I will receive emails from them as it moves through the different stages of assembly at their Toledo plant. I received one 1st off just stating that they got the order from my dealership & it gave a break down of exactly how I ordered it & with what options, colors, etc. Then about a week later I got an email stating that it was scheduled for production & that it could sit in this status for up to 2 weeks. Today, which was about a week and a half since the last email, I was notified through email that it has started moving through the assembly line. It stated that frame/body is complete & it is now in paint. Next and final phase is trim/interior. Also, I should get notification when it leaves the plant & will be able to track it to my dealership. I have been enjoying the cool emails along with pics of their assembly processes. Pretty neat system they have! I can see me becoming a diehard Jeep fan.

Curious to see how long it actually takes for my dealership to receive it, from the date that we actually ordered it.

It ain't hard to become a die hard jeep fan! I was one too after about the first tank of gas in mine.

First time I took it out hill climbing, I was a die hard jeep fan!

And, then again playing in the mud and snow out pheasant hunting and spotting deer that fall, I was a die hard jeep fan again.

Then I figured out the 4 wheel drive wasn't working!!

Then I fixed it!!

Then I was really a die hard jeep fan!!!

its one of two issues master cylinder going bad or a bad piston in one of the brakes

Rocky~

I'm still patiently waiting, which is very hard to do! I was notified by Jeep earlier in the week that it has left the factory & entered the shipping process. Average length of commute to dealerships is supposedly 2 weeks from that point, but can vary greatly depending on how they load em at the drop points. I have heard nightmare stories about new vehicles sitting in the yards for a lengthy time & hope this doesn't happen to me. I'm not going to lie ... I'm just a little anxious to get it!

It's going to look great with that 3" BDS lift and those 35" Nitto tires.
