Sorry, I couldn't help it.

Amidst all the melodrama and comparisons to who knows what all, I'm still wondering what the price tag is on that darn rifle???? Really guys, does anybody have a clue because that rig doesn't exactly look like something that most people who enjoy shooting and reloading could readily afford these days.

Best way to come up with a figure is to break it down to components and then do price checks against that.
Then come up with a used price.
Action, stock, barrel, brake, trigger, base and rings.
I am pretty sure it is Kelbly base and rings (30mm), and the brake is Vais/Vias (I always get that turned around).
All the components are listed for you.

I'll jump ship and say I think it's pretty neat, IF that's what you're looking for, and sells for under current build costs. It's not a cobbled up mess, it is put together with quality components.

I shoot Hunter Class, with a Kodiak, so I'm familiar with the stock and action aspects, however.....

While I would build on that action, it wouldn't be my first choice, I couldn't think of one instance where I would pick this stock for any purpose, except for HC, and the chambering is cool, but I would be more inclined to run a 300 WSM, which would do almost the same with less fuss, if I were to gun a 30 cal.

Colors, of course are subjective. I like the silver, but after dinging my custom paint the 2nd time out in my first BR gun, I swore off any fancy paint since.

Is this before Charles in Charge and Little house on the prairie

Did either of you happen to know Adam and Eve Personally, do you kick yourself for not patenting your novel invention of the wheel???

Here, grab the bunny ears and stand on one leg out on the poarch....yup, thats it, right there.....better yet, grab that big ole chrome rifle right there and hold onto it as well.....

My favorite show as a kid, and maybe even til this day, was Gunsmoke. I thought I was Matt Dillon when I was 3.

I can remember sneaking my B&W TV on to watch Monday Night Football when it was in it's prime. Cosell, Gifford, Meredith.....

Channel locks on the antennae post and yell stop when the channel was clear. Man those were the days. I always thought I was like Chuck Connors and wanted a lever gun. I didn't get one until last year. The first time I borrowed my father-in-laws Henry 22 I emptied that thing in true Rifleman fashion on steel faster than somebody on Jolt Cola with a 10/22

. Never had a misfire and didn't miss the steel, funny how much you remember watching the "cowboy" shows as a kid. I need to borrow that darn Henry again
