Tikkas are nothing but a poor mans Sako. Anything a Tikka will do, a Sako will do better.
Saying which makes/models is most accurate out-of-the-box is a waste of time. It's like asking someone what's their favorite color. I have sampled 90% of the rifles mentioned here, plus many not mentioned, and have seen both good and bad examples of each.
I base my purchases more upon the quality/design of the actions rather than whether or not I think it is the most accurate rifle out of the box or not. Cost cutter designs like the Tikka or abominations like the A-bolt simply do not make the list, whether they will shoot well or not.
FWIW, the Howa 1500/Vanguard action is the best for the money IMO, and the A-bolt the worst.......
I have two Tikka abominations that are lights out shooters and I guarantee they will shoot with any factory gun YOU own. Some of you are way over thinking this whole thing. I really took the original posters question to mean, "who is having the most luck out of the box with what"? Alot of people seem to have good luck with Tikkas for being an Abomination. Working on a gun counter that sells "all of the above mentioned", I have to say I have heard the least amount of complaints (about getting a poor shooter or having warranty issues) with the Tikka and the Savage. The A-bolts are not even close to the worst in that catagory either. Remington wins that one hands down. I will conceed that Remingtons usually go out at a higher volume which may skew the numbers a tad.
