I own 2 K31 Schmidt Rubins. I know it's not a modern production rifle, however it is the most accurate rifle I have ever owned. Just my .02 cents. Plus at around $200 a piece it's one of the best buys I've ever come across.
Ditto. I bought one three years ago for $80, took it to the range and simply could not believe it shot nice three-shot group into 1/2" with iron sight at 50 yards. The trigger was more like a tuned Remington. My eyes are too horrible to be able to see the target out at 100 yards without a scope, so I let another guy at the range who was curious with that strange rifle to try out. He was about in the mid-20's and had 20-20 vision. He put 3 shots into a nice 3" group with issue military iron sight.
That next Monday morning I ordered three more at $80 each and everyone of them had pristine bore despite of their scratched up wood stocks.
Looking back I should have ordered 50 rifles at that price. I would have been one heck lot better investment than Intel stock.
Now, with 3-9X scope my K31's shoot ring around my Remington Model 7.
I have a couple K-31's in the safe also, they are fantastic shooters. I picked up brass and dies for mine, its hard to find anything they wont shoot. It would be interesting to see how they would shoot scoped, I have yet to try that.
