Mountain curs?

We actually ended up taking al 4 remaining pups.

I took the little female that looks like the mom, she seemed to like me the most.

The other 3 are on their way to wyoming, I can't wait to see how big that male gets and get him after a cat or bear!

This is going to be awesome!

West Creek,
Did you get any more pictures? Would love to see them.

bigc,
4 pups. WOW. Why are some going to wyoming? I love the white socks on the brindle!

You are really going to have your hands full!

Hey Cougarbait, yeah I need to get some more, Dawg is growing like a weed. I'll try and get some in the next day or two. That pup of yours looks awful good.

BigC, I feel for you man, I can't hardly keep up with this one! I take him out in the tall uncut to wear him out and I'm the one that comes back panting.

The ones going to wyoming are for friends. We couldn't decide which one not to get, so we took them all.

I was going to keep 2 but my boss at home didn't think we could handle 2....what she says goes!!!

The others are only a couple hours away and we all hunt together quite a bit, so running them together won't be a problem.

I'll take some more pics and let you all know how things are going.

Thanks Cougarbait, I think he will be all right. Really putting the miles on him, kinda keeping him ganted up. But he is all muscle, and has jaws like a grizzly.

I hear you on the jaws like a Grizzly! When Chy latches on to my labs neck or collar she just doesn't let go! And when playing with her, once she get a hold of you there is no shaking off. I pity the coyotes that she gets a hold of.

Chy when on her first hunt to night. Didn't stay long. The skeeters where way to bad. I couldn't even handle it. She got excited with the calls though. Can't wait till it gets a little nicer here to work her more.

Well guys, I am absolutley loving Annie!

Ahe is a great pup. She still jumps on teh kids a little but I guess that is what pups do.

I was wondering how you guys go about traing your dogs to the gun? I don't want a gun shy dog for sure!

With the 4th of July and all the fire works going off I have just been trying to paly with her while the go off, but she tends to startle when the whistlers and big ones go off. Any suggestions?

I have been working her with a coyote skin for about 20-30 min a day now and she does great. She shakes it and drags the skin around and then I hide it and she sniffs it out and then we do it again.

Any suggestions would be great! Espeacially on the gun training. Thanks guys!

When I gun train my labs I get a buddy and send him out about 100yrds with a 12ga and an older dog and have him throw a bumper and shoot. I work my way out real slow little at at time until were at the shooter. Usually about 10 or twelve shots worth. We did a 11 week old last weekend.
Its never failed for my labs.
