My nephew Seth busted his 1st coyote on July 4th. He was excited, oh, his uncle was to.
We started out on one stand for almost 40 minutes. After throwing the the book of calls at'em, we decided to move on.
We walked back in farther (only 200 yards) along a corn field which opened up into a drainage ditch on the left, creek to the right and a wheat field straight ahead. I called for awhile, using everything from the Tweaked Squirrel, Yote Singer, Sceam'n Demon, and a few sounds on the FOXPRO. I can't realy say what was the magic sound, but they all played a part in getting a young man his first dog. As I was thinking about shutting the stand down, I ask Seth as he was pulling up the Shotgun, do you see one? He said, Oh Ya. Then BOOM! He busted him at 50 yards with 3" #00 buck. There was hand shakes, high 5's, and a couple of hugs going on at that time. I was SO proud and so glad to have had the opportunity to be apart of what is now The Coyote Addiction.
God Bless,
Song Dog
